The next day, Sana entered college with a mixture of dread and curiosity. After her confession yesterday, she had tried convincing herself to forget it, to act like it never happened. But something inside her felt different—like the pieces of her heart she had so carefully hidden away were now out in the open, vulnerable. She told herself she would just avoid Sidharth and try to move past her confession.
As she opened her locker, she was surprised to find a note in Sidharth’s handwriting:
“Sana, I know last night might have felt overwhelming. But today is special, so let’s make it memorable. Go to the music room—where we laughed, sang, and shared those late-night rehearsals. See you soon… Or maybe not just yet 😎.”
Sana’s heart fluttered. 😳She couldn’t help but smile, feeling a sense of excitement she hadn’t felt in ages. She wasn’t sure what Sidharth was planning, but her curiosity got the better of her. Taking a deep breath, she walked to the music room, the place where they’d spent countless hours rehearsing for the college play. Their friendship had deepened during those times, and so had her feelings.
When she entered the room, it was empty—except for another note taped to the piano.
“You really thought I’d make it that easy? Nope! Now head to the art room. I think you might find something you’ll remember there. P.S. Don’t roll your eyes—I know you are! 😉”
She let out a sigh, amused but also completely intrigued now. She walked through the hallways, passing friends who threw her curious glances, wondering where she was going in such a hurry. She entered the art room, scanning the tables and easels, when she spotted a familiar sketch on one of the desks. It was a sketch of their college play scene—the one where they had to act as a couple on stage. He had drawn it after their final performance, saying it would be a “forever memory.” Next to the sketch was yet another note:
“So close, Sana. You remember our last scene on stage, don’t you? That’s where you’ll find me.”
Sana’s breath caught as she realized he was leading her to the theater room—the very stage where they’d once pretended to be in love. Her heart raced as she made her way there, wondering if he really meant what she was beginning to suspect. Could he actually feel the same?😍
As she reached the theater room, she found the doors slightly ajar. She pushed them open and walked down the aisle, following a path of rose petals leading to the stage. And there, standing in the middle of the stage under a spotlight, was Sidharth, holding a bouquet of roses and wearing that signature smirk.
She walked up slowly, her heart pounding with each step until they stood face-to-face. “Sidharth… what is all this?” she whispered, unable to hide her smile or her nervousness.😨😬
Sidharth took a deep breath, his expression softening as he looked at her. “Sana, I know yesterday caught you off guard, and I know that what you said came from your heart.” He paused, then continued, his voice trembling slightly. “I didn’t tell you how I felt, because I wanted you to know that you’re not alone in this.”
He reached into his pocket, pulling out a small locket. It was a heart-shaped pendant, something he had picked out with her in mind. “You asked yesterday why it mattered to you that I might be with Manya… Well, it matters to me, too, that you care, because, Sana… I’m in love with you too. Truly, deeply, and probably longer than I even realized.”❤️❤️
Sana’s eyes widened, her breath hitching as his words sunk in. She felt her heart soar as he continued, taking a step closer.🥰🥰
“Tumhari woh hasi, woh baatein, tumhara woh gussa bhi... sab kuch meri life mein ek ajeeb si khushi leke aata hai. And ever since that play, I couldn’t stop thinking of you as mine—not just as my best friend but as someone I wanted to be with, always. So, Miss Sana, will you officially be mine?”❤️😘
Sana’s eyes filled with happy tears, and she gave a shaky nod. “Yes, Sid. Yes. I… I never thought you’d feel the same.” She bit her lip, laughing through her tears. “I spent all this time thinking you were only interested in Manya…”😓😓
Sidharth let out a soft laugh, reaching out to wipe away her tears. “Manya? No, Sana. I thought maybe you had a hint of how I felt, but when you started avoiding me, I was so confused. All I ever wanted was you.”
He gently slid the pendant around her neck, letting it rest against her chest. They stood there in the silence, looking into each other’s eyes as if the whole world had disappeared.
Just then, the door to the theater creaked, and they both turned to see Manya standing there, her expression unreadable. Sana felt her heart drop, suddenly anxious, and she quickly looked away, feeling guilty.🥺
But before she could say anything, Manya gave them a small smile and nodded. “I think you both finally figured it out.” She glanced at Sana, her smile widening. “I’m happy for you both, really.”🥺🥺
Sana’s shoulders relaxed, and she managed a smile. “Manya… I’m so sorry. I never wanted to come between—”
Manya held up her hand, shaking her head. “Sana, trust me, he already told me he was in love with you. I just needed time to process things. Sidharth and I are just friends, and that’s all we’ll ever be. I’m happy for you both, but for now… I think I need some space.”
Sana nodded, understanding. “Thank you, Manya… for everything. Really.”
With a last smile, Manya gave Sidharth a small wave and quietly left the theater, leaving Sana and Sidharth alone once more.
Sidharth turned back to Sana, taking her hands in his. “So, now that everything’s settled, can I take you out on an official first date tonight?”
Sana laughed, her eyes shining with joy. “Yes, Sidharth. I’d love that.”🥰😁🥰
They both laughed, and as Sidharth leaned forward, their foreheads touching, Sana knew that all her fears, her worries, her doubts—everything had been worth it. This was the start of their story, a love story that had begun on the stage but had now become a beautiful reality.🤩🤩
