REAL LIFE!STANDING at her parent's front door, Suzumi held her hand up and nearly knocking on it, before pulling back and turning around. "You should come on before you catch a cold", a voice called out from behind.
The elderly woman at the front door looked as put together as ever. Clean clothes, a stylish hairdo and freshly painted nails which matched with her outfit. She clearly was well put together.
"Hey, mom." Both of them looked away, avoiding each others glaze. Shortly after, Suzumi made her way in, passing by her mom who closed the door behind her as soon as she entered.
"No one followed you, right?" That made the tall woman roll her eyes. "Of course, I'm not doing this for the first time", she said out loud with a slightly annoyed tone, "even though I wish."
"What?" "Oh, nothing I just had something in my throat. Could you get me a glass of water, please?" The mom nodded her head shortly before going into the kitchen, leaving her daughter in the corridor.
As far as she could tell, nothing had changed. Not even a bit but that wasn't surprising. Her parents were always away and hadn't had the time for things like decorating the bathroom a second time. Their poor time management was one of the reasons why their children and them had such a rocky relationship.
Eventually, Tobio forgave them, or at least tried to but Suzumi was different from her twin. The blue eyed female didn't forgive easily, especially to people that were dear to her. She lived by the motto that trust has to be earned and not given easily.
Making her way to the living room where everyone else was gathered. Her dad and brother tried to keep up a conversation about volleyball but it seemed like the conversation was only held on one side.
Meanwhile, her mom had brought her the water she had asked for and she and her older sister started giving each other a short summary of the last weeks in which they couldn't meet each other sooner.
Everything went smoothly until a short accident happened while eating dinner. While everyone ate in peace, Suzumi and her mom went into the kitchen to get the next meal. Sadly, their interaction wasn't as friendly as they thought it would be. This resulted into Suzumi storming out of the house, only mourning a short apology to her twin and sister.
Looking back at this, she definitely felt like she had overreacted and should've just stayed there but there was no way back. She had made her decision and was going to deal with it, only regretting that she had fled so fast that she completely forgot to take her jacket with her.
