"Are we rocking tonight Seoul?!" Mile shouted into his microphone as he and the rest of the Green Rose band members joined him on stage to the roar of their fans.
"Let me hear you!"
"Miiiiiiiiiiiiile! We love you!"
"DECHA MARRY ME!!"
"Niran-ran-raaaaan!"
"Kutie Kiet!"
An array of men and women screaming their names, chanting and waving around glow lights and signs or images of their faces, that were amusing in a dark sea of the dim stadium.
The guitarist plastered on a dazzling smile as he waved to his band behind him. "I see no introductions are needed, but I'll introduce anyway!" He laughed as he walked over towards Kiet with a calm glance - "You know him, you love him. Kutie with a K, Kiet on the keyboard!"
The audience clapped and cheered for Kiet, who played a couple of chords, and gave a bow.
Mile moved to Niran who still looked a little green around the edges, but was doing his best with the make-up. His concerned gaze stared into Niran's, and got a subtle head shake to assure he was fine, and Mile introduced him next. "Niran who ran all the way here with his bass to charm you all!"
Another wave of enthusiasm from the crowd who was eating it all up.
A drum started playing from Decha as Mile danced his way over to his best friend, laughing as he waved his hand. "Seems Drummer De's ready to rock and roll! The dreamy drummer...Decha!"
Decha started to played a short drum solo finishing off with a clash of the symbols, and stood up with his drumsticks in the sky, to bow at the waist with a laugh.
The volume of cheering got louder, as it was evident the band members and their respective fan bases would have more presence than overall concert goers. It happened but, Mile hadn't noticed the difference until Kiet brought it up before and that was why he made sure to introduce the keyboardist first. Change up the routine and show that despite everything that has transpired between them, the distrust and betrayal, Mile vowed to be a better man than even Apo expected him to be. It was difficult to not just toss the keyboardist out on his ass immediately, but he knew it would disappoint the fans who came to specifically see Kiet.
Mile wouldn't disappoint anyone even for his own emotions.
He shook his head out of his reprieve as he thought about his lover to calm his frazzled nerves. He tended to get nervous during a performance, even after all these years, the one who could calm him the best, was a beautiful photographer with an admonishing mouth that chided him nonstop, but also kissed him with equal fervor and love. Mile just wanted his boyfriend back to normal, cheering him on, the nightmare for both of them finally over; however, he knew that it was best to keep the younger out of the spotlight for the moment.
The trap needed to be set for Kamala, and she needed to hand herself in.
Working through the plan in his mind, which had been explained on the car ride back to the venue from the airport and their meet up. Mile knew that a lot of things could go wrong and probably would, but the most important factor was that Apo was back by his side.
It significantly renewed his resolve.
He closed his eyes to catch his breath as he took in the sound of the fans who rooted and chanted for them 'GREEN ROSES' and their names. Mile became a rockstar for a reason, this was the reason. The adrenaline and the exhilaration he got when he played the guitar to those who listened could not be measurable, except for his adoration of his lover whom he had stashed in his dressing room with a television hooked up to watch the show.
