S1 E5: Barking Up The Wrong Tree (part 2)

Sonia is then seen as she leads the Scavengers safely down to the bottom of the maze. The Scavengers explore tentatively.

Prim Rouge: "It's dark."

Hangry Cat: "Too dark."

Gnarly Knuckles: "Or... she's making us think it's too dark!"

Sonia: "Yeah, no, it's definitely dark."

The Regulators on Sonia's shoes glow as Hunter Shadow approaches the Scavengers while riding Kaa's head.

Kaa: "Well, well, well... look what the hedgehog dragged in. *glares down to the group*"

Sonia: "*To the Scavengers, gently* Okay, be cool. Act natural. *Mangey Tails starts to lose patience and is ready to pounce* Hey, Kaa. *Chuckles nervously* We just want to have a friendly chit-chat. Remember those? "

Kaa: "What is there to talk about?"

Sonia: "See? We're talking! Now, Amy would probably say we should talk about our feelings."

Kaa: "Our feelings?"

Hunter Shadow: "What...?"

Prim Rouge: "Feelings?"

Hangry Cat: "Feelings..."

Mangey Tails: "*Bubbly eyed* Fee-rings!" (Feelings)

Gnarly Knuckles: "Feelings... like a trap to me."

Sonia: "*Facepalm* Ugh. Okay look, I'll go first. I feel like, um..."

Prim Rouge: "Like you don't know what you're doing?"

Sonia: "*Annoyed to Prim Rouge* I'm trying! I feel like this would be easier if you didn't interrupt me all the time! *To herself* And I feel like this is harder than it looks, even though Amy makes it look so easy. *To Hunter Shadow* Now you go."

Hunter Shadow: "Me?"

Sonia: "Sure. Go ahead. Remember, there's no wrong way to feel."

Hunter Shadow looks at them as he his expression changed a bit as his eyes flickered a bit; to the Scavengers, quickly.

Gnarly Knuckles: "He's distracted! Now!"

The Scavengers blitz past Sonic and start attacking Hunter Shadow

Sonia: "Hey! What happened to sticking to the leader?!"

Hunter Shadow: "I feel... angry! Yahh!"

He hammers the ground, growing roots and taking the scavengers up with them, dropping their weapons. Hunter hammers the tree, growing two horizontal roots, which Sonia dodges. They fight close up. After a slow-motion moment, he hits her with the hammer, knocking her down to the ground. They stop fighting.

Kaa: "Oh hohohohoho, this is good!"

Sonia: "Okay, I get it, you're angry. But what happened to the holding back part in the fight?"

Hunter Shadow: "They've proven they can't be strong. And now at last, it ends!"

He yells and unleashes another hammer attack, which Sonia dodges, allowing a root to grow and block the sunlight from the sky. The trees above them shake a bit before Birdie flies in closer to Hunter while Sonia pants in exhaustion. Thorn yells as she jumps off and kicks him in the face, forcing him to lose grip of the hammer. Hunter gets knocked into a tree before it collapses on Kaa, making him yelp as he is now stuck.

Kaa: "Oh pongo sticks..."

Sonia: "What did you do?"

Thorn Rose: "I... I did what I had to. This should keep the Scavengers above the canopy. Where they belong!"
