'What do you mean there's another party? I already went to one! Why are you doing this to me?' I protest as Sarah tells me about another party at the weekend.
'Please Char! Just think about it... Has Ben been as awful to you as he used to be?'
'No...' I admit reluctantly.
'So my master plan is working. Which means I was right?'
'I guess...'
'So you have to come... For me? Please! I was hoping that maybe James might kiss me tonight.'
'I'm sure if he doesn't Benedict will.'
'What?'
'He just seems to put it out a bit.'
'Well that's good surely? Less focus on you?'
Ouch. That hurt a little.
'I guess.'
'What If I find a nice guy for you? I can ask James if there is someone he can set you up with?'
'God no. I can find my own guy.'
'Can you though? Because I haven't even see you talk to a boy, apart from when you're yelling at benedict.'
'Fair point. But I still don't want you setting me up!.'
'Yeah, yeah.'

The week goes by quickly. Too quickly. And now we were on out way to another party. I still didn't understand the complete U turn my mum had made on allowing me to go to these things, but to me disappointment she said I could go to another and this time it was in front of Sarah, so I couldn't even lie about it.
I expected this party to be just as boring as the last one, so when ever someone offered me a drink I accepted it willingly, downing it until my head begin to spin. It was definitely working. I was enjoying this party a whole lot more as I swayed on my feet, not even bothered Sarah was desperately trying to throw herself at James.
'Oh look who's here...' Sarah slurred, looking over to the doorway of the kitchen. 'Char there is someone I would like you to meet.' She says as she grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me until I hit the chest of a towering, muscular guy.
I practically fell into him as Sarah let go of me, smiling to herself.
'Uh... Hi.' I utter, tucking my hair behind my ear.
'Hi.' The guy smiled down at me.
'Char this is Danny. Danny this is Char.' She announced so happy with herself.
'What are you doing?' I mouth to her as I step away from Danny so I'm not longer pressed up against his warm, rock hard body...Why did I step back again?
'Danny is James cousin.' She tells me, wiggling her eyebrows.
'I will kill you.' I mouth at her before she swings around and runs back over to James, too happy with herself.
I look up at Danny and take in his face. He was striking. He was handsome. He had a strong jaw line that you just wanted to reach out and touch. He had the prettiest blue eyes I'd ever seen and a smile that made me feel weak at the knees... Or was that the booze?
But even with his stoic good looks and incredibly toned body I couldn't take my mind off of someone else. Someone else who, as I look around the kitchen is standing there staring at me... I turn to look behind me to see if there was someone there but there wasn't. The next time I look back at him he has a smug look on his face as he continues to look at me.
I must be more drunk then I realised.
'I er... I need to use the girls room.' I say to Danny, not even bothering to wait for his response as I raced for the nearest empty room.
I needed a second to clear my head. I just needed to sit down and compose myself and most definitely stop drinking!
I find an empty bedroom and slink inside, sitting on the edge of a desk as I took in a deep breath. It felt like the room was spinning as my finger dug into the desk, anchoring me down. The darkness of the room and then deeps breathes helped, but nothing could help me from what was about to happen.
'Who was that?' Benedict asked as he closed the door behind himself, leaning against it, blocking the only exit of the room.
'Who?' I ask, completely distracted by the person standing in front of me.
'The meat head?'
I snigger at that one. I wasn't expecting it.
'Danny?' I ask. 'He's James cousin... Sarah was trying to... trying to set me up.'
'Why would she do something like that?'
'She thinks I need to get laid.' I say before I realised I'd even opened my mouth.
As quite as a shot my hand covers my mouth, but the words were already out.
'Is that so?' He asks stalking across the room until he was standing in front of me.
'I told her not to, but she never listens.'
He doesn't respond as he leans into my, resting his hands on the desk behind me, pinning me in place.
'What... What are you doing?' I stutter
'You don't need anyone setting you up with another guy...'
'No?' I ask, feeling a cold shiver race up my spine.
Goosebumps darted across my body and my breathing started to become erratic from the close proximity of someone who I was supposed to hate. But even though I knew I hated him I made no attempt to push him away.
'No.' He repeats my words back at me and he edges closer and closer to me.
His eyes flick down to my lips and I know... I just know he's going to kiss me. Is this what I want? Do I want him to put his lips on mine? I hadn't thought about it...Fine that was a lie. I had thought about it. A lot, since the last party.
'Tell me to stop.' He whispers, but he knows what he's doing. He knows I'm not going to say the words.
Just as I feel the slightest brush of his lips against mine the door swings open, making me jump. I hastily push Benedict away to see Sarah staring at me with worry in her eyes. Her eyes flick between the two of us, before she speaks, telling me what she was doing here.
'It's your mum.' She tells me. 'She's downstairs on the lawn. Char, she's not in a good way.'
