A gentle night in the Opera Epiclese welcomed a deity within its dimly lit stage. A mirror placed upon the side of the stage, and a young looking girl standing. Her reflection swayed within the mirror like water waves carried by a gentle breeze. The reflection was divine, looking at the young girl with a kind gaze. Confusion written all over the girls face.

"Who... Are you?.. Where are we.. No, wait.. Who am I?"

The reflection in the mirror chuckled at first, a smile plastering itself on her face. "𝒀𝒐𝒖, 𝒎𝒚 𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒊𝒔.. 𝑭𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒂.. 𝑫𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝒃𝒆 𝒂𝒇𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒅."

"I'm not afraid but concerned, will the Prophecy really come true? That's the only thing I know about.."

Putting a hand over her chest, the young girl's voice filled with concern and a bit of sadness. Yet her reflection was nothing like it, as if the concept of death is a mere joke. "Do you not care?.. How can you not be concerned or sad... Or will Prophecy not pass at all?.."

"𝑰𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔, 𝒘𝒆 𝒅𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆.. 𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒑 𝒎𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒑 𝒊𝒕. 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑯𝒚𝒅𝒓𝒐 𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒏, 𝑭𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒎𝒆.. 𝑰𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒂 𝒎𝒂𝒈𝒏𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂 𝒅𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒄 𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒅.."

That event marked the beginning of Furina's deityhood for hundreds of years. Learning to impersonate a God, was a difficult task. Yet soon a man came to be the Head of Fontaine's court. She found something strange about him from the first moment.

Concluding a trial, she saw herself waltzing out the court. Leaving behind the empty building, in front of the court she stood by a Fountain, gazing at the waters as she noticed ripples starting to break the surface. "Rain?.. How come all of a sudden it's raining when all week has been sun? Ah then I should return to the Palais Mermonia.." Holding her palm out to see the droplets of rain falling onto it, she twirled around and made her way towards Palais. The walk was not short, and the rain was getting stronger, yet she didn't seem to mind. Occasionally stopping to look into the sky. She stopped on the way, seeing the two robots dancing in the middle of a platform. She thought they looked perfect, dancing in the rain.. Then got an idea. Remembering one of her favorite slow Jazz songs, and quietly humming as she would tap her foot on the ground a few times and would lean forward, spinning on one foot as she extended her arms to her sides. She continued into a solo waltz, following the pace of the puppets. Her movement graceful and precise, enjoying the alone time dancing in the rain. As the humming went on and her dancing continued in the downpour, it would eventually come to an end and she took her hat off with a bow. She fiddled with the hat for a moment and put it back on her head, about to hum another song but her peace was short lived.

"Lady Furina, If I may acquire what might you be doing alone, in the rain, dancing too?" Neuvillette's voice could be heard, carried by the breeze Furina felt as soon as she heard him speak and freezing in place. He stood no more than a foot behind her and observed with a sharp gaze.

"M-me? Well for the Hydro Archon to enjoy the rain is no big surprise! Is it? And of course, one as graceful as me is prone to be dancing in rain!" She made sure to emphasize the word 'the' for her authority to be known. The expression from her face changed to a mischievous grin, to play the situation off.

"It is a surprise, not that I'd expect to find you here. But a better question why aren't you seeking shelter?" Iudex spoke without much emotion, his voice cold and was making no movement at all. His clothes looked soaked as if he's been in the rain for a while, he has.

"You.. Uhh what's your name again? Ah right- Neuvillette! Well, Neuvillette if we're going to do it that way, then why are you yourself here right now and not inside?" Her smile widened as she turned around to fully face him, taking a step towards him yet keeping her distance. She brought her hands to rest on her hips whilst she looked up at the taller man.

"I was simply but taking a walk after the trial in the rain.. Seeing you here implies you were doing about the same, doesn't it? It-" He was going to continue but he got cut off by Furina.

"Nuh uh uh! You look like you've been chewed by a seahorse and then spat out! Your clothes are completely damp, so is your hair, so first explain yourself then I will explain why I was doing what I wa-" She was taking steps closer while 'scolding' the taller man, she stepped into a puddle of water by accident and was about to fall backwards.

Seeing her tumbling, Neuvillette reacted and caught her by hand, his long fingers wrapping around her wrist to catch her hand. Pulling her back on her feet despite the close proximity, he didn't let go of her hand and she did stay close to him, he was skeptical she would somehow manage to fall again. "You were saying what again?"

If she hasn't felt embarrassed getting caught dancing, she was now after he caught her from falling. She just let it be figuring it was the better option, unhappily.
"Nevermind whatever I was gonna say-!.. We should just return to the Palais Mermonia, it's already pouring from the sky- oh wait.. The rain is not as bad as before, huh that's better... Well cmon then, you shall follow the orders of your Beloved Archon!~" She exclaimed proudly as she let go of his hand since he didn't let go of hers after slipping and would begin making her way towards the Palais. Along the way she was chatting non stop with the Iudex despite his short answers or no interest in the conversation. She wasn't sure why she enjoyed his company, he didn't seem to talk much. But her being the Archon, him being the Iudex, they were gonna have a lot of interactions, work related or not. Maybe even something more?...
