It started off as a normal day, the Marechausse Phantom has been present for some time already. But with Melusine's being distrusted in Fontaine and Neuvillette beginning to get questioned, the people started to oppose him. As days went on, the situation between humans and Melusine's got worse, with Melusine's being insulted regularly and called untrustworthy. Yet it was all tolerable until headliners crossed the line and lured a member of the Marechausse Hunter, Melusine carole to the crime scene and framed her for a murder she didn't do. The people around believed the story and soon a crowd was by there, the Gardes failed to take control of the situation and a fight broke out between the civilians and Gardes. To stop it and prove her innocence, Carole sacrificed herself. Upon hearing of what happened, Vautrin was enraged.

-"She died?.. Why didn't she wait! This is a huge misunderstanding.. The court won't do anything to solve this, will they?.. Get me the list of the people involved for Carole's sacrifice."-

Being the commander, he requested list of names of the people involved, the same people he killed to carry out his justice. Yet he had to face a punishment.. Next day in the court he was sentanced to the Fortress of Meropide, to which Vautrin was enraged. Being sent away to the prison for doing something to protect those that Neuvillette cared about.. It shattered him. And the Chief Justice too. The Iudex was no further questioned nor the Melusine's.

Darkened clouds gathered up in the skies above Fontaine, the formerly sunny day was now a dark nightmare as rain began to pour down, wind blow and thunders roar. Fontaine's streets were empty and people were staying inside till the storm calms down. The office of the Iudex was shut as heavy rain droplets fell against the window, his head between his hands as tears fell onto the long abandoned documents on his desk. He didn't make a sound yet tears that rolled down his face told a different story. Soon a knock was heard on his door and he answered briefly in a strained voice. "Busy, entering isn't allowed." To a normal person he'd sound normal, but to Furina who knows him like the back of her hand would say otherwise and knocked again.

"Neuvillette we both know you're not okay" As if she needed his permission to enter and did anyways, but the sigh she saw made her heart drop to her stomach. She slammed the door shut and ran over to his desk. "Neuvillette are you okay-!?" She asked in a very worried tone, Neuvillette didn't lift his head from his hands at all which worried her even more. She didn't know what to do as he wasn't answering her, she was gonna ask again but he spoke finally. "I'm fine, Focalors, you need not worry about me." She gasped at that, she was offended he even though she wouldn't worry. "What do you mean 'fine' , storm it outside and you're even crying!" It hadn't crossed her mind how she got called 'Focalors' after all this time but paid it no mind.

She wrapped her hand around one of his wrists and moved it away to see he was still crying. "Neuvillette... You're not okay and I can see it, why are you still saying you are?" "Because I don't need your pity."

"It's not pity, I am worried about you!" She tried to protest but he wasn't hearing it. After realizing that, she frowned and turned around to leave. That day had the worst storm Fontaine has ever seen, and when the sun raised up nothing changed. The rain kept poring down and if there were any trials upcoming, they were rescheduled for whatever day the rain stopped. No Melusine heard from Neuvillette that day while Furina was busy with meetings, questions and what not. She was tired from the day, but being the God she couldn't show any of it. After being done with her duties, she made her way to the flourist's shop and bought a bouquet of Rainbow rose flowers and headed back to the Palais Mermonia while holding the bouquet close to her. She might've forgot to get an umbrella and was completely damp by the time she got back.
