The Power of Two: Taekook Werewolf short

The next morning everyone sat in the lounge, Hobi, Jin and Namjoon joining. They had only heard snippets of what went down the previous night.

"Tae, explain everything that happened this last week, please." Luna Jeon asked.

Taking a deep breath, with Jungkook sitting next to him, he explained everything. He also told them how his parents died a few years ago and his realization that Minho was his mate, the disappointment he felt in that. He told them how Grandpa Choi taught him about politics and pack business to prepare him to be Luna, how he decided at least he would try to be the best Luna he can be.

"So that is how you knew so much." The pride in the Trueblood's voice was not lost on anyone, causing a blush on the Omegas cheeks.

"Where is that Beta now?" Namjoon asked

"I don't know hyung, I left as soon as the bond with Minho was broken."

"Well, wherever she is, it is not our problem. And I am sure she was with pup, I could smell a second scent on her, but it was not yours, Kook." Jin added.

"She would have had me raise another's offspring, probably trying to pawn it off as mine" Jungkook's anger was fierce.

"Fortunately, that didn't happen, Kook. And you would have known anyway. She would not have been able to fool anyone." Hobi assured his friend.

"Tae, you have no fault in this. You are not responsible for her actions. From the moment she met Jungkook, she set her eyes on him. Seeing the prestige, not the hard work. Theirs was a match of convenience, there was no love involved. Trueblood's don't have destined mates, they can choose a mate to share their life with. Kook needed a mate for hhmm, practical purposes... and to take over as Luna when I stepped back. Jenni needed a pack. But she had no idea what being mated to a Trueblood is like, the loyalty and honor to his pack." Luna Jeon felt she had to clarify the arrangement.

Tae just nodded; this was all still so overwhelming.

"Would you like to accompany me on my pack rounds, Taehyung?" Jungkook asked the Omega. He needed a point to start assimilating his Omega into the pack and life of Luna of the Willow Glen pack.

"Thank you, Alpha, I mean Jungkook, I would love to see the pack." Tae knew it would take some time to get used to this powerful wolf choosing him as his mate. But getting to know the pack would definitely be a start.

The two set off in a huge black SUV, Jungkook explaining things as they went.

Stopping at one of the towns, they got out.

"Tae, this is Littleton, one of our towns, we have 11 smaller towns in the pack. Some of them are inside the forest, not visible from the roads. This town specializes in blacksmithing. They make everything we might need in that regard. The jeweler here will also make your ring for our wedding, if you agree."

The poor Omega broke out in pink. Wedding, oh goodness.

"Will you...mmm...will you also have a ring?" The stammered question made something bubble in the Trueblood's soul. It wasn't a no.

"Of course, the world will know that I am taken."

"Oh, ok... That is good then." The soft voice spoke of determination.

Meeting the leaders of the towns was quite daunting, but Tae was welcomed everywhere and slowly relaxed.

"Finally, another Luna we can be proud of." Jackson Wang of Pine Haven said after meeting Taehyung and talking to him a bit.

"No offense, Alpha, but that other one was really bad." Another leader, Park Chanyeoul said.

"No offense taken, Chanyeoul, I have no problem with that true statement."

"Such a rare wolf, Alpha, a strong male Omega. You definitely struck gold with him." Hwasa from Summer Stream said. She was one of the female leaders, a strong Alpha in her own right.

"I have, so precious, smart and amazing." The gold shone through the black as Jungkook looked at the blushing Omega. Pink was turning out to be Jungkook's favorite color.

After meeting all 11 leaders, the two set off to the hunting grounds. Jungkook was very strict on hunting, as the game had to be at healthy quantities to support the pack.

Tae was impressed, really impressed. This was a well-run pack, care taken to make sure everyone was doing well.

Their last stop for the day was at the mines. Gold and silver were mined, as well as precious gems.

A big wolf approached them when they stopped.

"Alpha, good to see you. Oh goodness, who is this beauty?"

Jungkook growled deep

"He is mine, Kai, and your future Luna, so respect him as such."

Kai threw back his head and laughed.

"Of course, Jungkook, no harm meant. I have just never seen a male Omega, not even any other wolf with his beauty, Jimin included. But I am very happy for you. Say, Jungkook, have you selected a stone yet for his ring?"

"Not yet, do you have something special?"

"Oh yes, the exact color of your Omegas' eyes."

They walked with Kai to a big hanger, Jungkook's hand on his Tae's lower back, where gems and precious metals were seen everywhere. Kai walked to a big sorting table and picked up an exquisite sapphire. The blue reflecting off the overhead lights.

"Perfect..." Jungkook took the stone and held it up in the light. "Just as precious as you, Taehyung."

"Jungkook, it is..."

Tae could not find words to describe the stone.

"I know angel"

The blush exploded on the ethereal face. Angel...

Kai, seeing the interaction smiled in satisfaction. This is what he had wished for his Alpha. Someone so special and good. To make his Alpha happy. And the vibes from this Omega were nothing but pureness and goodness.

"Jungkook, is it not too expensive, it is so big..."

"Only the best for you, my precious Omega. Nothing is too good for you."

The gold flecks in the eyes shone through, this was not just Jungkook speaking, it was JK as well.

"Thank you, my Alpha..." Just a soft whisper, Tae and V knew this was their Alpha, their mate.

The day was amazing. The time spent together showed both that they were indeed meant to be. Although there was much to learn about each other, the groundwork was laid, now all that remained was building up.

Taehyung was officially brought into the pack that night, in front of the Luna and the friend group. A small piece of the Alpha's flesh was given by the Alpha to his Omega. As Tae swallowed the small piece, the pack bonds opened up and accepted the Omega as part of the pack. "Mine to you, yours to me" the official words were spoken by both. And the joy through the pack bonds knew no bounds.

(At Three Rivers pack, Alpha Choi Soobin felt the bond break with a pack member. He knew who it was but decided not to say anything. He didn't know where Taehyung was, but glad he found another pack to belong to.)
