As Yuvika and Meera left the canteen, Meera was practically bouncing with excitement. Yuvika shot her a teasing look, but Meera just grinned wider, her eyes darting around.

Suddenly, a deep, warm voice broke their chatter. "Hey, Yuvika." The most handsome senior in their college stood in front of them, his smile easy and inviting.

Yuvika offered him a polite smile. "Hey."

But before she could say anything else, Meera nearly burst with excitement. "Hi, Veer! Oh my God, I can't believe we're finally meeting you here! I've heard so much about your game!"

Veer chuckled, looking amused by her enthusiasm. "Well, I'm glad my reputation precedes me," he said with a wink. Then he looked at Yuvika, "We've got a basketball game later. You both should come and watch."

Meera's eyes lit up. "Definitely! Right, Yuvika?"

Yuvika nodded, a soft smile on her lips. "Sure, sounds fun."

But just as they were about to leave, she felt a familiar intense gaze. Turning around, she found Advik standing there, his expression darkening as he took in the scene. He strode toward them, his eyes locked on Yuvika.

"Don't waste your time talking to him," he said coldly.

Yuvika arched an eyebrow, surprised by his sudden tone. "Excuse me? Who are you to decide who I talk to? My husband? My boyfriend?" Her voice dripped with sarcasm.

Advik's jaw clenched, his eyes narrowing as he leaned closer, his tone low and dangerous. "I'm warning you, Yuvika. Stay away from him."

Yuvika lifted her chin defiantly. "I'll talk to whoever I want, Advik." She turned her back on him, meeting Meera's wide-eyed gaze. But Advik only smirked, a devilish glint in his eye as he walked away.

Later, at the basketball court, the atmosphere was electric. The crowd was buzzing with excitement as the teams took their positions. Yuvika and Meera found seats, and she quickly noticed Advik on one side, while Veer stood on the other, looking every bit the confident player. As the game began, the tension between the two players was palpable.

Advik played with a ferocity that drew gasps from the crowd. He darted around the court, each movement precise, yet there was an edge of aggression in his every action. At one point, Veer made a tricky shot, smirking as he glanced Advik's way. "Relax, man. No need to be so uptight."

Advik's gaze hardened, but he didn't respond. Instead, he drove himself even harder, his movements faster and sharper. As Veer went for the ball, Advik hit it hard, sending it straight at him. The force of the impact knocked Veer off-balance, and he stumbled, a gash forming just above his eyebrow. Blood started to drip down his face, and gasps rippled through the crowd.

Meera and Yuvika rushed forward. Yuvika crouched down beside Veer, her voice laced with concern. "Are you okay?"

Veer grimaced but nodded. "I'll live."

"Meera, get the first-aid kit!" Yuvika instructed, while she applied pressure to stop the bleeding. Across the court, Advik stood watching, an amused smirk twisting his lips.

Veer glanced up, catching Advik's expression. "Guess you're the type to go for cheap shots, huh?"

Advik's smirk grew colder. "If you can't handle the game, don't play. You might be good at seeking attention, but that won't work on me."

Yuvika shot him a furious glare, standing up and marching toward him. "What's wrong with you, Advik? You did that on purpose, didn't you? He didn't do anything to deserve this!"
