It was a regular Tuesday, the roads busy and crowded, sidewalks bustling with people headed to their day-to-day obligations. Busy chatter amongst pairs walking side by side, arms intertwined, business men tuning into virtual meetings, kids tugging at the straps of their backpacks and hopping excitedly on their way to school as their parents kept an eye out for oncoming traffic, all these distinct heaps of noises mingled together like a carefully organised orchestra. Kept in their last bits of morning tranquillity with the presence of a cooling autumn breeze.
Izuku sniffed away the cold, which had been slowly creeping onto him along with the season's change. A firm gust swished through his hair at every twist and turn of his aerial movements. Looking down below, he couldn't help a small grin from tugging at his lips at seeing the peaceful scenery all around. Trees in their metamorphosis, the sky emitting a faint orange hue at the light's reflection on the slowly withering leaves; it was all very mesmerising and pretty to gaze upon as he basked in the pretty colors for as long as the peaceful moment allowed him to.
At the beginning of September, for many, it meant the continuation of their hectic lives as summer slowly transitioned into autumn. The green leaves were crisping because of the passing wintry winds from the north, drying out all colors until only splotches of orange remained, transforming the landscape in its totality.
The start of a new season meant a start for the new semester in the hero course, too. The colder months often proved to be more prone to criminal activity, which was perfect for 3rd year graduates in training. Not that their efforts in the battle two years ago weren't enough proof of their capability with All For One being defeated in a destructive battle; one so grave and intense, whispered conversations still surfaced from every corner or crevice on the streets.
Tons of innocent lives had gotten inevitably caught amidst the warfare, both regular citizens as beloved pro heroes alike. As a result, the aftermath of chaos had left a deep rooted imprint on those still alive, harbouring their grief and hatred for the league, but not only the league.
Not everybody agreed with the choices made by the capable pro heroes present in said battle, and many still expressed their contempt about the entire situation to this day.
People heavily criticized the situation where everyone ended up being so immensely dependent on a child. They weren't exactly wrong, but people seemed to forget they were heroes in training. Were children even meant to take on the heavy burden of a war they hadn't initiated in the first place? No, of course not. Was there any other way to go about it? Obviously not. They were aspiring heroes in training and duty had simply called.
Batting an eye and leaving the adults to do the dirty work was not an option. Blame it on heroes' ambition.
Only those closest to battle knew the severity of the stakes and difficulties of the situation.
Luckily, the debates ebbed out over the last year, but people still recognized Izuku and he had somewhat grown exponentially popular as time passed.
And then there was spinner's book too.. A crowd of people had come to sympathize with some of the league. Though the majority didn't, there were still enough people who did, and enough people to start a discourse over how society and the government had failed in their duty to create a cohesive community.
Everything just got a little messy after that. Riots started breaking out more often, robberies and theft, demolition of public properties, harassment of regular pedestrians. Luckily no bigger threats though, but that didn't mean these issues weren't an evident problem.
