In Her Room
General POV

"You will pay the price," a voice echoed in her dreams. "You stole him from me!" another hissed. "Do you even love him?" The voices grew louder, their accusations piercing her sleep. Then, a familiar voice, soft and vulnerable, cried, "You left me, Mother."

"N-no," Ria mumbled, twisting under the blanket, a sheen of sweat on her forehead. With a sharp gasp, she jolted awake, reaching out as if the phantoms in her dream could still be touched. She clutched her chest, feeling the rapid beat of her heart, trying to ground herself.

"Princess! Are you alright?" Lzy's voice broke through the lingering fog of the nightmare as she rushed in.

"It's fine... just a nightmare," Ria replied, trying to regain her composure.

"I'll get you some water." Lzy quickly left, giving Ria a moment alone.

Moving to the balcony for air, Ria's gaze fell upon the gardens below, their familiarity stirring bittersweet memories. The scene of her past unfolded vividly: "Miss Fairy, are you my fairy godmother?" a young boy's voice echoed in her mind, full of childlike wonder.

"Do you want me to be, little one?" she had replied, patting his head with affection.

"Yes!" he replied with shining eyes, and she had lifted him up, laughing. "Then I am. I'll play with the little prince to your heart's content whenever I visit the palace."

His tiny hands clutched her dress, burying his face against her shoulder. "Y-you won't hate or leave me?" he had asked, his voice trembling.

"Never. I am your fairy godmother, right?" she promised, hugging him close.

"Princess, here is the wa-wait, why are you crying?" Lzy asked, noticing the silent tears streaming down Ria's face.

"Huh?" Ria quickly wiped them away, almost surprised to find herself crying. "Nothing. Just... some emotions took over me." She took the water with a brief, shaky smile.

"Are you really alright? You can take a break if you're ti-"

"I'm fine, Lzy. Hand me the papers." Ria's voice was steady again, although her eyes betrayed a flicker of lingering sorrow.

"Understood. You have a meeting scheduled this afternoon with that person," Lzy reminded her.

"Ah, yes. Thanks for the reminder," she replied, flipping through the papers. "And how is our dear 'savior' doing?"

"Miss Grace was a bit quieter since the tea party, but she's appearing in noble society, claiming her powers saved you from the fatal poisoning in the tea party. She's even saying that, despite your 'dislike' of her, she wishes she only wishes for your happiness and well-being."

Ria's lips curved into a sardonic smile. "How noble of her."

"The nobles are beginning to take sides, Your Highness," Lzy added quietly.

"Perfect," Ria replied, her voice calm, though her eyes glinted with a steely resolve. "Let them."

Afternoon Meeting

At a corner table in a busy restaurant, a cloaked woman was drinking wine like water. "Oh my, you're downing it rather quickly, Belle," Ria teased as she approached.

"Ria, you're late," Belle replied, though her expression softened at the sight of her friend.

"Did you miss me?" Ria quipped, sliding into the seat beside her.
