Ayla Jackson has known Kai Harrison for years. Due to his reputation, she never thought much of him. But after an encounter that changed everything, they would embark on a journey that neither would anticipate, but one that was foredestined.
"Baby I'm almost there stop whining," I teased over my car's bluetooth on a call with Kai.
"I just miss you and I'm ready to see you so bring your ass!," Kai said.
"Aww you missed me baby?"
"Girl, you know I did why you playing? If my flight didn't get in at freaking 2am because of delays, I would have been at your place, in that pussy all night," Kai said.
"Nasty ass....but I missed you daddy while you were in New York," I said while frowning a bit.
"I missed you so much....now how far are you?"
"I'm pulling into the mall now baby. Where you at?," I asked.
"Meet me near the Pandora store."
"Kai.....you are not getting me anything from there!," I exclaimed.
"Girl...I do what I want. Hurry up!"
"Ok let me find parking and then I'm coming damn," I teased.
"Ok baby I'll see you in a few minutes."
"See you baby," I said. I make a few kissing sounds into the air before hanging up. I drive towards the entrance of Northpark mall that is closest to the Pandora store. I find a spot and then grab my phone and purse and get out of the car. I click the locks and then walk inside of the mall. I feel so nervous! I haven't seen Kai in 5 days, which feels like fucking forever. He had a work trip to New York and he signed three players while out there! I am so proud of him. He's worked so hard to be the success he is today. But I missed him so much. More than I thought I would miss him. This is the most time we have spent apart since we have gotten closer, and I hated it to be honest. It's not the same just hearing his voice or being on FaceTime for a little bit. I need him. I need to see him every day if possible, that's really how I feel. Once I am inside I look around as I make my way to the Pandora store. As I make a turn around a corner towards the store, I look and smile when I see Kai. My smile dies down a bit when I see him talking to this woman.

It's Bella. Oh lord. I stop in my tracks and I see them exchanging a few words. I'm a good distance away so I am sure he doesn't see me. Bella steps closer and looks up at Kai as she speaks. I then see her right hand graze across his bulge. I gasp and I see Kai grip her wrist tight and set her hand to her side. My heart drops to my stomach as the scene unfolds. Oh god. Kai seems to be talking sternly to Bella. I take a few steps back and hide behind the wall and rest against it. Fuck. I take a deep breath as I try to maintain composure. I am fighting back tears, but I refuse to let them fall. I can't do that here. After a few moments, I am startled from my thoughts by my phone ringing in my hand. I look down and see Kai calling me. I take another deep breath and I turn the corner and walk towards the Pandora store. Kai is looking around a bit and when his eyes land on me, his eyes light up. I can't even help the smile that spread across my lips. He hangs up, pushes his phone into his pocket and jogs towards me. I laugh a bit as this man picks me up and spins me around a few times in the middle of this mall.
