Ellie's POV
- - -

A few days had passed since Henry and I first moved in together. Everything was going smoothly for the both of us out in Arizona. Today was a humble Sunday. The sun was blaring into Henry's bedroom as I slowly woke up. As I sat up in the bed, I stared down at him, observing as he continued to snore loudly as he had been every night. I rubbed his shoulder gently, trying to wake him up.

"Henry... Henry... wakey wakey..." I said gently as he continued to groan and snore.

I grumbled, rolling my eyes as he refused to budge.

"Wake up!" This time I slapped his ear, harder than I wanted to. Henry shot up, holding his ear as if he had been shot.

"Argh..! Ellie... not my goddamn ear... That's gonna be ringing all day now..." he said in annoyance, holding onto his ear.

"Sorry..." I said, trying to act innocent. "But you're awake now!! Yay!"

"...I wish I wasn't."

"Oh, don't be so moody, Hen." I was enjoying his annoyed mood.

"Hey, don't push your luck! I stopped calling you nicknames so don't even go there." Henry didn't like how I was provoking him just like he did to me.

"Fine... But guess what today is!" I answered gleefully.

"...What? The day you leave me alone?"

"Haha, no silly. We're going out together! You know? To that fancy restaurant?"

Henry seemed confused.

"Fancy? I thought we were going to like, Five Guys or something. And I didn't realise it was today either to be honest."

I looked disappointed and pretty upset too.
"...You really forgot..?"

"Oh. Sorry."

"No, it's fine, don't worry. But you really forgot? The first time we're going out together when we aren't killing people or committing crimes?"

"I didn't... never mind. I did forget."

I sighed. "...Well we're going to this nice Italian restaurant tonight. Maybe not as fancy as I said but it's better than Five Guys."

"Let's hope that your taste in restaurants is just as good as your taste in men then." Henry stated, a broad smirk on his face.

"So, gross restaurants?" I said wittily.

"Ha ha, very funny."

"I'm just pulling your leg Henry! But... it does look like a really nice place. I had a look around whilst I was out shopping a few days ago." I insisted to Henry.

"Hopefully you're right then."

Many hours later, I would be sat in the living room watching TV. Henry came through the door, back from... wherever he went.
