**Atticus’s POV**
After the football match, a strange sense of loneliness. Now, I know what you’re all probably wondering—Atticus and loneliness? Impossible. But listen, satisfying desires with sex can quench a thirst, but not the fire–The fire in my heart is different—a relentless urge to self-destruct, to be consumed. I don’t know why, but somehow, I feel that my sole purpose in life is to burn out completely, like a moth to a flame. Maybe, just maybe, my desires will lead me to that very edge of ruin.
But right now? I’m just bored hahaha. Sure, if I had girls flocking around me day and night, life would be one big party, right? I mean Life would be a blast. But where would I even find that many girls?
…
*After a lot of thinking...*
Whoa, whoa… a dating app! How did this not cross my mind before?
*Atticus grabs his phone and downloads a dating app.*
Downloading… Downloaded.
As soon as it’s installed, Atticus logs in. He smirks as he sees countless profiles flashing before him.
Atticus: "Wow, there are so many girls here."
Atticus laughs to himself, realizing that "there’s already no shortage of girls around me, so what’s the point of this app, really?"
He lets out a soft sigh and murmurs, “Maybe fate’s got a girl lined up for me here. That’s why destiny pushed me to download this app, huh?” He chuckles.
After swiping left and right on plenty of profiles and chatting a bit, only two girls actually catch his interest. One of them is named Maria.
Their conversation flows seamlessly.
Maria: *Ben (his alias), you’re so damn handsome; I could just eat you up.*
*Of course, she’s right—Atticus *is* handsome. He’s tall and carries an aura of royalty and mystery. The way he speaks can make you forget the world. His dark brown hair is the perfect length, neatly cropped—not too short, not too long—and his bushy eyebrows add a touch of rugged masculinity. While his eyes… OHHH his eyes... there’s an innocence there, as though someone bottled angelic purity and poured it right into his gaze. Innocent yet intense, like they hold secrets. They have this mesmerizing gleam, like dragon-ball eyes, they shine with a brilliance that could outshine a thousand chandeliers. They’re a deep, dark shade of black. His skin honey-tanned, with a light stubble gracing his jaw. Broad shoulders frame his perfect physique.*
Atticus: “Would you like to meet for dinner?”
Maria: “Dinner? Sweetheart but you’re already the appetizer, No! Actually... THE WHOLE DAMN MEAL...Let’s meet, Ben.”
Atticus: “Alright, I’ll send you the location.”
Maria: “Okay, love.”
