Author's note: the following scene takes place at the same time as the vks and ben are talking. I'll work them in together later on. For now, I'm writing them separately for clarity's sake.
Audrey lays on the bed, still as death. Until her brow furrows in pain
LEAH: AUDREY?
[The camera zooms to Audrey's eyes, they're moving underneath her eyelids.]
Now we are in Audrey's mind. The area around her is surrounded by pink smoke. It's a dusty pink. Suddenly, a trail of green smoke surrounds Audrey, gathering in front of her.
The smoke materializes into...Maleficent!
Audrey gasps and takes a lunge back.
Maleficent crackles and begins to hum "Evil like me"
AUDREY: What are you doing here? How are you here?
MALEFICENT: I'm in your head!
Maleficent immediately transports to right next to Audrey and rests her elbow on her shoulder
MALEFICENT: Duh.
Audrey gasps and jolts away, she puts a few feet of distance between her and the dark fairy
AUDREY: What do you want?
MALEFICENT: The question is dear, what-
The Scepter is summoned and Maleficent grabs it
MALEFICENT: Do YOU want?
AUDREY: I don't know what I want anymore.
Maleficent rolls her eyes
MALEFICENT: (throws her hands up in frustration): YOU WANT REVENGE! REVENGE AGAINST THAT WRETCHED GIRL AND THE LITTLE PRINCE!
Maleficent gets closer to Audrey again, her eyes glowing green. Audrey stares back
AUDREY: You don't know what I want. You don't even know why I'm mad.
MALEFICENT: (sneers) Well then, you seem to have it all figured out. Tell me, why are you Mad?
AUDREY: Because the boy I loved left me. And the girl who lured him away got my future. And neither of them looked back for a second, not even to apologize to me.
AUDREY: (CONTINUED) I'm not her collateral damage! And I'm not just some girl to him! We knew each other our whole lives, that should mean something!
MALEFICENT: But it didn't! Benny-boo don't give two hoot's about you!
Maleficent cackles at her own joke. Audrey stares at her. She's not giving her attitude, but she clearly didn't find it funny.
MALEFICENT: (CONTINUED) Aww. Don't be so serious! Let me tell you, the best thing you can learn at your age is to not take yourself too seriously.
AUDREY: But Mal... she's your daughter. Don't you want her to win?
MALEFICENT: Bah! She was always a disappointment. I taught her everything she needed to know, gave her a proper villain upbringing. And how did she repay me? By losing her nerve last minute! And I was turned into a lizard. A LIZARD! Do you have ANY idea how HUMILIATING that was?
Maleficent stops for a moment and catches her breath.
MALEFICENT: (CONTINUED) But you.. You have real potential! Join me, and you can be queen of Auradon! You could have whatever your wicked heart desires!
Audrey stares at her, clearly distressed.
AUDREY: Is that what I am? Am I wicked?
MALEFICENT: (rolls her eyes) Of course you are! Why else would you have broken into the museum?
