Akira next stop was the Academy. She grabbed her things and waited for a cab at the nearest station.

As Akira stood at the station, she felt a mix of nerves and anticipation. The city buzzed around her, with people rushing past, their laughter and chatter creating a lively atmosphere. After a few moments, a cab pulled up, its door swinging open as the driver smiled at her.

"Where to?" he asked, his voice friendly.

"Silvermoon Academy, please," Akira replied, sliding into the backseat and placing her luggage beside her.

The driver nodded and pulled away from the curb, navigating through the busy streets. Akira watched the scenery change, her heart racing as they approached the academy. The towering gates came into view, adorned with elaborate designs that hinted at the history and mystery of the school.

As they drove through the entrance, Akira couldn't shake the feeling that something significant awaited her within those walls. The driver parked, and she stepped out, taking a deep breath to steady her nerves.

"Good luck!" the driver called after her, his voice fading as she walked toward the main building.

The campus was sprawling and beautiful, with cherry blossom trees lining the pathways. Students moved about, chatting and laughing, but Akira felt a certain distance from them, as if she were an outsider observing a world that didn't quite include her.

As she made her way toward the administration office, she spotted two girls standing under a cherry blossom tree. One had dark hair and an air of mystery, while the other had vibrant, colorful hair that caught the sunlight. They exchanged glances before the girl with dark hair stepped forward.

Amara tilted her head, studying Akira with a curious smile. "You must be Akira, right? We've heard you'd be joining us."

Nara nudged Amara lightly, her eyes lingering on Akira. "Don't worry, we're not as intimidating as we look," she said, her tone playful but with an undercurrent of something more serious. "Silvermoon can be a little... overwhelming at first. But stick with us, and you'll get the hang of it."

Amara nodded, her expression softening. "The academy has a lot of history. Some of it's pretty dark, to be honest." She leaned in a little, lowering her voice. "So, if you ever need help or... run into anything strange, we're here."

The two exchanged a look, and for a moment, Akira felt like they knew something she didn't—something important.

She looked at the two girls strangely. "Um okay..and you guys are?"

"Oh, right!" Amara laughed lightly, brushing a strand of her vibrant hair behind her ear. "I'm Amara Divya, and this is Nara Blackwood. We're both second years here at Silvermoon."

Nara offered a small smile, her eyes scanning Akira as if trying to read her thoughts. "It's nice to finally meet you. We've been hearing about the new arrival all week."

Amara nudged her playfully, then turned back to Akira. "It's not often we get a transfer student from overseas. Especially not one connected to..." She trailed off, glancing around before leaning in, lowering her voice. "...your grandfather."

Akira's brow furrowed. "What do you mean, connected to him?"

Nara exchanged a look with Amara, her expression turning serious. "Let's just say, people remember him around here. He was... important to the academy."

"Important in what way?" Akira asked, feeling the unease from before return.

"You'll find out soon enough," Amara replied with a slight grin. "But for now, let's get you settled in. Welcome to Silvermoon, Akira. Things are about to get interesting."

Little did she know who her grandfather really was and why he was missing in the first place.
