Fading away. That's exactly what Janice did. In the end the black widow was all alone.
A week. Seven long days.
Laid dead rotting in her bathroom all alone. Nobody came looking for her for an entire week. They didn't care about her in the end.
Roger was the one to notice he hadn't heard from Janice for a while. She usually would come to his office and spill any secrets she could possibly find in exchange for his attention and praise. She saw him like a father figure that she had to please. She craved his positive reinforcement. He craved something completely different from her. Power.
The power trip he got from how well he could manipulate the women around him made Roger a dangerous and disgusting man. As long as he had power over them he didn't care. He would go to great lengths to achieve that.
Roger was growing tired of the radio silence from Janice, he had been complaining to Siobhan the entire week. He was very angry that he didn't have the power over Janice that he used to. He thought she was just ignoring him. He couldn't have been more wrong.
“Siobhan we need to go and pay that conniving bitch a visit. If she's gonna ignore me then she's gonna have hell to pay.” Roger practically spat at the blonde, she was used to his anger so she wasn't phased by this.
Siobhan just nodded in agreement and soon found herself in the passenger seat of Roger's car with his hand snaking on her thigh. Everything about his physical contact made Siobhan sick but there was nothing she could do about it. Once the pair arrived at Janice's house Siobhan watched as Roger banged on the door.
“JANICE YOU CAN'T IGNORE ME.” Roger yelled through the door, expecting the woman to answer and give him a snarky response. Her car was on the drive so he knew she was inside, Janice never walked anywhere.
“Roger, she doesn't want to see you, let's just leave.” Siobhan tried to reason with Roger. She could only see his anger growing and she was scared that if Janice did open the door he would hurt her.
Janice was one of the very few people Siobhan actually cared about. The pair had some kind of unspoken love for each other. Janice was always there for Siobhan if she needed it during Roger's violent outbursts. All she had to do was text in a secret code and Janice would be over to distract him.
Siobhan wasn't allowed out of Roger's sight unless it was with someone who he deemed acceptable. Janice of course was one of the people he trusted with his beautiful blonde trophy. Janice always treated Siobhan like a person and gave her the affection that she so desperately needed. Siobhan had allowed herself to be vulnerable and intimate with Janice on a few occasions. She made her feel so safe and that's all that mattered to Siobhan.
Roger of course had no idea any of that was happening. He just thought that his soon to be wife and one of his most loyal puppets had an understanding between them both that it was better to get along than for things to turn into a catfight.
Siobhan had fallen in love with Janice and she didn't even know it. She had no idea what she was about to find in that en suite bathroom. She thought Janice was ignoring her too. The dark haired woman hadn't answered any of Siobhan's code messages, she felt abandoned.
“FUCK THIS.” Roger yelled, pulling down the handle of Janice's door. To his delight the door was open. Siobhan was scared, this wasn't like Janice at all. “Roger, let's just leave her alone please.” Siobhan called out to the older man.
Of course he didn't listen to Siobhan. Why would he listen to her? She's just a pathetic bitch after all. Siobhan reluctantly followed him into Janice's house, trying to keep herself calm. Janice's house was uncomfortably cold. It wasn't a normal temperature thing, there was an uninviting and uncomfortable aura.
