The explosion

Cars are very easily tampered with. If you know what you are doing, it is very easy to rig a car to explode. Mia hadn't even noticed someone tampering with her car, she was too busy focusing on her plate of pasta. Nobody had noticed what was happening, there was no alarm from the black mustang. The culprit knew exactly how to do this discreetly.

As soon as Mia turned on the ignition, the black mustang exploded. She died immediately from the impact, glass shards from the windshield had impaled her body and the entire car went up in flames. Mia's body was stuck inside the burning car.

Passersby called for firefighters almost immediately, but they had no idea that the mean redhead was trapped inside. Thankfully, she was already dead so she wasn't suffering. As soon as the fire was put out, the firefighters were horrified to see Mia's body. She was in a very bad state, she wasn't even recognisable.

The firefighters cut off all electricity to the car to ensure that it was safe for police to investigate. They called for police on the grounds of body in suspicious circumstances and of course Vivian and Sara were the ones assigned to the case. They were the best officers in the force of course.

The entire contents of Mia's car was destroyed, including all of her identification so they had to run her plates to find out who this victim was. As soon as the results came back, the car was found to belong to Amelia Roberts. Vivian knew her from gossip at the nursery, she knew that her son's teacher Charlotte was dating her.

Forensics carefully removed Mia's body from the car after taking crime scene photos. She was unrecognisable. Whoever did this to her hated her. They didn't want her to have any chance at survival. They wanted her to be in pain.

Once the car was completely ensured to be safe, forensics were able to try and decipher any evidence they could from the scene. It was going to be really hard to find anything because the entire contents of the car were burnt to a crisp.

Vivian and Sara made their way to the nursery once Mia was identified. Charlotte was pacing around Marjorie's office in a panic. She was very scared for Mia and she had no idea what had happened. Marjorie was trying to contact anyone that could have news about her while Autumn attempted to comfort Charlotte.

“I need to go look for her, we can't just sit here waiting for news.” Charlotte frantically blurted out at the other women. “Char, if something bad has happened it's best we wait. We have no idea where she even was.” Autumn tried to calm the brunette down.

It wasn't long before their panic was interrupted by Vivian and Sara arriving at the nursery. As soon as Charlotte saw them she burst into tears. She knew that something horrible had happened to her mean redhead. She sat down on the office sofa beside Autumn. Autumn comforted the brunette as Vivian and Sara explained what they had found.

They had yet to confirm that the body was Mia, they needed to identify her with dental records but Charlotte knew it was her. She explained to them how Mia was on the phone with her when the explosion happened. Mia was just going to go pick Charlotte up, she had no idea that those were going to be the last words to her sweetheart.

Someone had done this to Mia and Charlotte didn't understand why. Sure she would push people buttons but she never expected someone to hate her this much. This was no accident. Her car was tampered with. They wanted her to die.

Marjorie sat down beside Charlotte who immediately collapsed crying into her arms. The love of her life is dead. She will never see her again. Autumn was still sitting beside Charlotte so she attempted to comfort her by running her fingers gently through Charlotte's hair. She hated physical affection so there was no way she would let Charlotte hug her. She was very grateful that Marjorie could do that side of the comforting.

Vivian and Sara left the nursery, promising that they would do everything in their power to find out who did this to Mia. Charlotte didn't know what to do, her saviour was now gone. Forever.
