Chapter 1: A New Assignment

The celestial realm buzzed with excitement as the angels prepared for their next assignments. Among them was Keeho, a spirited guardian known for his infectious laughter and playful energy. His enthusiasm for helping humans was unmatched, and he approached each assignment with a sense of adventure. Today was no different.

As Keeho floated among his fellow angels, he was called to the Grand Hall, where the assignments were handed out. He could hardly contain his excitement. The Archangel, a wise figure with a commanding presence, stood at the front, holding a shimmering scroll.

"Today, we assign a new batch of guardians," the Archangel declared, his voice echoing throughout the hall. "Remember, each of you must guide and protect your charges with unwavering dedication."

Keeho's heart raced as he awaited his turn. When his name was finally called, he stepped forward with a bright smile. "I'm ready!"

"Your charge is Soul," the Archangel said, unrolling the scroll. "He is a high school student struggling with loneliness and self-doubt. Your mission is to inspire him and help him find his place in the world."

Keeho's expression faltered slightly. "Soul? Is he... sad?"

The Archangel nodded solemnly. "He feels invisible among his peers and has trouble making connections. Your role is to lift his spirits and guide him to discover his own strength."

Keeho felt a tug at his heart. He had always thrived on bringing joy to others, and the thought of helping someone who felt so alone resonated deeply with him. "I'll do my best!" he exclaimed, determination shining in his eyes.

"Remember," the Archangel warned, "you must remain detached. It is essential that you do not develop feelings for your charge. The rules of our realm are clear."

Keeho nodded, though a small part of him felt a flicker of excitement at the thought of making a real connection with Soul. "I understand. Just... no falling in love, right?"

"Correct, also make sure NO ONE sees your wings because your a "normal person" the Archangel replied, his expression serious. "Now go. Soul needs you."

With a burst of energy, Keeho shot down from the celestial realm, feeling the rush of air as he approached the human world. He landed softly on the school grounds, taking a moment to observe the bustling scene. Students chatted, laughter echoed, and amidst it all, he spotted a figure sitting alone under a tree.

Soul.

Keeho's heart ached at the sight of the lonely boy. Soul was hunched over, scribbling in a notebook, seemingly lost in his own thoughts while the world around him moved on. He looked so small and fragile, and Keeho felt an overwhelming desire to reach out and change that.

"Alright, time to work my magic," Keeho said to himself, a grin spreading across his face. He walked toward Soul, his presence felt like a warm breeze that rustled the leaves.

As he approached, Keeho's playful nature kicked in. "Hey there, mind if I join you? You look like you could use some company!" he said, his voice bright and cheerful.

Soul looked up, surprise flashing in his eyes. "Um... sure," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper.

Keeho plopped down next to him, glancing at the notebook filled with sketches and notes. "Wow, you're really talented! What are you working on?"

Soul hesitated, then offered a shy smile. "Just some drawings... nothing special."

Keeho leaned in closer, genuine curiosity sparkling in his eyes. "I bet they're amazing. I'm Keeho, by the way. Just your friendly neighborhood guy looking to brighten up your day!"

Soul blinked in confusion, his cheeks turning slightly pink. "Friendly neighborhood guy?"

"Yup! And my first mission is to make sure you have the best day ever," Keeho declared, puffing out his chest dramatically.

Soul chuckled softly, the tension in his shoulders easing a little. "I don't know about that..."

"Challenge accepted!" Keeho said with a wink. "We'll turn this whole day around. How about we start with a smile?"

As Soul's lips curled into a tentative smile, Keeho felt a warmth spread in his chest. This was just the beginning, and he was determined to make a difference in Soul's life. Little did he know that their journey would lead them to places neither of them ever expected, challenging the very rules that bound them.
