Chapter 4: A Difficult Mission

Keeho stood in an empty classroom, facing a familiar figure who had just materialized out of thin air. The head of guardian angels, an ethereal presence with a stern but kind expression, gave Keeho a knowing look.

"Keeho, you've made progress with Soul," the head angel began, his tone calm but firm. "But your mission isn't just about guiding him. You need to help him connect with others, build a support system. He needs people around him."

Keeho gave a small nod, though a part of him felt heavy at the thought. Helping Soul make friends would be a challenge, especially given how guarded he was. But if that's what Soul needed, he'd make it happen.

Later that day, Keeho spotted Soul in the cafeteria, sitting alone with his head down, earbuds in, oblivious to the bustling room around him. Sliding into the seat across from him, Keeho waved to catch his attention. "Hey, Soul!" he greeted brightly.

Soul jumped a little, pulling out one earbud. "Oh, it's you. What do you want?" he asked, his tone guarded.

Keeho grinned, pretending to be offended. "Wow, harsh! I wanted to talk to you about something important."

Soul raised an eyebrow, skeptical. "Like what?"

"Well..." Keeho hesitated, trying to find the right words. "I think it would be good for you to... branch out a little. You know, make some friends."

Soul's eyes narrowed. "Why? I'm fine on my own."

"Are you, though?" Keeho asked gently. "I mean, you're awesome, but it wouldn't hurt to have a few people to talk to besides... well, me."

Soul looked away, shifting uncomfortably. "I don't... I'm not good at that stuff. Talking to people, making friends. It's just... not my thing."

Keeho chuckled. "You know, most people aren't good at things they don't practice. Just try it. You don't have to be best friends with everyone, but there are people here who'd like to get to know you."

Soul looked down at his lunch, clearly not convinced. "And what if I don't want to?"

Keeho leaned in, his voice softening. "Look, you've got a lot to offer, even if you don't realize it. I just think it'd be worth trying. Give it a shot—for me?"

Soul sighed, looking back at him with a mix of reluctance and vulnerability. "Fine. But don't expect too much."

Keeho grinned, relieved. "Deal. And I'll be here every step of the way."

As they finished their conversation, Keeho felt a surge of pride. Helping Soul make connections felt like the right thing to do, a chance to brighten Soul's world one friendship at a time.
