Diwali celebration emails sent across the company. Lots of excitement around that time as Diwali is one of the major festival for Hindus. People are registering their interest for events. Famous singers are invited to perform for the celebration. Divya and her colleague Ranjini volunteered for putting Rangoli (design made with flower petals) in the lobby. Kannan performing a dance on stage.
It is the celebration day. Kannan was sitting in the lobby reading a newspaper. Mostly browsing through the snippets of speech given by the actor turned politician in  his new first party meeting. As he was shifting his attention to the entertainment sheets of the newspaper, he glimpsed at someone in a fraction of a second and continued his reading. It took exactly 20 seconds for his mind to recognise that person and 9 seconds to lift his head to have a look at her. Divya is sitting right in front of him in a sofa going through the newspaper. She is wearing a maroon saree with golden border with her hair tied up as a bun with Jasmin flower string around it. Beautiful pearl necklace shining proudly on her neck. Golden jimikki dancing on her ears and simple few  bangles finishing her divine look. Kannan never felt this way with anyone in his life. His heart started beating fast, his brain telling him to stop staring but his eyes wouldn't listen. She is sitting like a statue with her leg's crossed reading newspaper. For a second he felt invisible. A glare from her brought him back to reality. Her eyes pierced right through his heart and gave him an almost stroke.
Divya's friend Ranjini called came and they both left the lobby. He sat there frozen.
"Hey Kanna! ", his friend Raj called. Kannan looked at him with a blank expression and "Get me out of here ."
"I can't explain Raj how a quick glance at her today crushed my ego and made me realise that a man is nothing when he meets his girl. So far I was living in an illusion with man pride but now I understand how kings too lose their mind and Kingdom for a girl", Kannan finished with a sip of coffee.

"You mentioned a few days ago that you would never talk to her claiming she is the most arrogant woman you've ever seen and now she looks like a fairy to you, that's "LOVE " , said Raj.
