CHAPTER 7

A minute passed, then Tita came downstairs. "What's going on? Why does Sapphire look upset?" Tita asked.

I replied, "I'll explain later, Tita."

Tita nodded and asked, "Do you want snacks?"

The six of us said in unison, "No, we're good."

While Sapphire stood, still frowning.

Tita asked, "How about you three?"

Sapphire replied, "I'm full, Tita."

Zey added, "Me too."

"I'm full too, Tita." sagot ko din.

Tita said, "Okay, Sapphire, Zey, Go to Yamira's room. I'll cook; I'm hungry."

"Stay upstairs for now, don't come down yet. If you two, Zey and Sapphire, argue, discuss it among yourselves, okay?" Tita told them.

We three are upstairs now, but Zey and Sapphire still aren't talking. They're pridefully ignoring each other.
I'm sitting on the bed, Zey's on the terrace, and Sapphire's on the chair.

"Are you two not talking?" I asked.

Sapphire just glanced at me, looked back at the mirror, and fixed her hair. I noticed her outfit: off-shoulder top, pants, and sneakers. Zey wore a borrowed T-shirt from me; she didn't want to borrow from Sapphire. Nag papanggap nga talaga siyang galit.

"You two are unusually quiet. Before, you'd always argue loudly - I mean, just you, Sapphire." Sapphire looked at me, rolled her eyes, and stayed silent. I continued talking, "Now, it's so quiet... I guess you're really mad at each other."

"Bigla akong nagutom," sabi ko, pero wala talagang may nagsalita sakanila.

I remained silent, feeling too lazy to go downstairs. I wondered how to avoid Savier. He's too boring when he's being nice. I thought, I wonder how he gets angry? I mean, really angry. I want to see him angry.

Nanatili ako sa ganoong position, until someone knocked. We three exchanged glances, and I stood up to answer the door. It was Hunter with french fries and juice. He smiled at me, and I smiled back. I eyed the food, feeling hungry.

"Tita sent these, she thought you might want to eat," Hunter said with a smile.

"Thanks," I replied, smiling.

I waited, sensing he had something to say. He glanced at the stairs before speaking.
"You seem kind, Yamira. Can we be friends?" he asked.

"Sure! Since I don't have any male friends yet. Mukhang mabait ka naman e, medyo nakakatakot nga lang," I said, laughing.

He smiled, hugged me (still holding the food), and whispered, "Just one punch."

I didn't understand, as his whisper was too soft. Suddenly, someone punched him, and he fell with the food. Sapphire shrieked in shock. I froze in surprise.

Hunter stood up, grinning, wiped the blood from his lip, I remained still, shocked.

After a few minutes, nang maka recover ay nag lakas loob ako para tignan kung sino sumunto sakaniya, si Savier. I glared at him. mas lalo tuloy akong nagalit nung tumingin ako sa pagkaing natapon.

I couldn't help but speak up. "Why did you do that?! Look, the food's gone to waste!" I said angrily.

After I said that, he didn't even speak. He just stared at me, then looked at Hunter, who was still standing there with a smirk on his face, like he was mocking Savier.

He walked up to Hunter and saying "Fuck off, Hunter." in a very cold voice. Even though he spoke calmly, his anger was obvious. After saying that, he punched Hunter again repeatedly until Hunter fell to the ground, but he was still smiling like a crazy person, even as Savier continued beating him up.

Their friends rushed in and grabbed Savier's arm to stop him from hitting Hunter again. Roman helped Hunter get back on his feet.

Zaren pulled Savier away from Hunter to separate them.

A few minutes later, Savier turned to me with a terrifying stare. I got scared and stepped back.

He started walking towards me, but Zey stopped him, and saying, "lumayo ka sa kaibigan ko." Sabi nito sa malamig na boses , warning him to leave me alone.
"Back off if you're just trying to scare my friend." Sabi ulit ni Zey.

"Gago ka talaga Hunter, ginalit mo. edi parang hindi kana tuloy tao." Kaidrix said with a laughing tone.

"Tao parin ako, tanga. Gwapong tao.
I thought it was just a single punch, mali pala ako." Hunter said, laughing. He even managed to laugh despite his bruised face, like it was just a joke to him.

Nagulat pa ako sa pag tatagalog nilang dalawa, fluent na fluent talaga.

maya maya ay napaisip ako if Savier and Hunter were really fighting earlier. But still, he should have controlled his anger. Sayang ang pagkain.

"Please stop fighting, I'm getting scared." Sapphire said in a fearful voice. Zarek immediately ordered Kaidrix to take Hunter downstairs.

I gave Zarek a suspicious glance, sensing he might have a thing for Sapphire.
