Chapter 5: Shepard Vs Nightingale

It was a week away until Grand Slam and tonight she was in a match against Willow who was one of her best friends, though right now she was with Nick and Shayna.

The three of them became close after that coffee shop meet, they were so supportive especially Shayna and her mom knew that she didn't have to worry about her due to Shayna and Cage being there for her.

Gene's phone buzzed and so she looked at it and sighed in relief when it was only her mother checking in and saying that she'll be watching Rampage tonight.

So she got back and placed her phone in her pocket again as she talked to Nick and Shayna before she was called to Cage's locker room before her match and so she left before she did Gene said goodbye to Nick and Shayna.

Once she left Darby arrived to which Nick sighed at and Gene entered Cage's locker room "hey" Christian says as the two hug, both of them has become extremely close due to being paired together.

Not only that the fans loved them despite the fact that both are heels which is another thing that her mother enjoys but Harry does not because he is very much jealous.

That what Gene thinks anyways, the younger Shepard had always loved pro wrestling and wanted to get into it, she watched both Impact and WWE all the time.

But she did need to focus on her match and not on her brother and how she loved watching her rival companies, which was completely weird to her but it didn't matter to her.

As she and Cage talked about the upcoming match she had, Lucha walked in and closed the door behind him - he was a bit late and Gene knew what the traffic was like on her way over.

She was paired with Julia since she had no one to drive with since Skye had Kyle and the HOB decided to drive themselves and so she gladly took the offer, the three now talked to each other.

Gene had the advantage over Willow despite the weight difference but that didn't seem to matter to Imogene as Christian cheered her on as some of the crowd did as well which shocked Taz and Excalibur but not Jim.

Jim who had always been extremely close to Imogene loved seeing the fans get behind the younger Shepard despite being a heel, Willow GOT BOOED when she took advantage.

This took her off guard and rightfully so, they weren't even in Houston Texas as they were in Cincinnati Ohio, the home town of Jon Moxley though it shouldn't have come to a suprise to everyone but people did in fact cheer for Willow but more for Gene.

People was amused by Gene's match with Willow and how she was gonna hit her sunset flip, a move that she's been known to use and surprisingly enough she had hit it with cheers from the crowd.

Imogene went to the top turnbuckle and the crowd cheered on for her even more and then she hit the 450° splash, she went for the pin and got it "the winner of the match Imogene Shepard."

I asked which books you wanted to see updated and this was one of them, I'm so glad ppl enjoy Nick and Gene together.

So, one more Collision until Grand Slam and I'm wondering how Gene gets a TBS title shot with Kris who is the current champ.

No.1 contenders match? Or one of those eliminator matches that AEW loves to do (like the one Anna had recently with Mariah).

Also after Grand Slam, I believe it's WrestleDream, should I do Nick and Shayna's heel turn later on and drag it out to make the heel turn more interesting?
