The team was listening to their boss while Nikki was being handcuffed. When Thornton informed them that there was no mole, Aria was taken aback, and Mac reacted angrily towards her. Thornton instructed Sarah to postpone her wedding because the team was now under investigation, leaving Aria in disbelief.
They returned to headquarters, where Riley and Bozer were present. Riley asked what was happening. Mac revealed that Nikki had been lying and insisted there was no mole. Aria pointed out that Mac had believed her, teasing him about his trust in blondes.
She remarked that she knew he was infatuated with Nikki, which surprised everyone.
"I'm done here," Aria declared as she left the Phoenix Foundation. Mac was upset by her departure. Bozer asked him what he had done to upset her. Mac explained that Aria thinks he's still in love with Nikki, but he insisted that his feelings were only for her and Chase.
Bozer encouraged him to tell Aria that, but Mac replied that she wouldn't listen. Jack then urged him to go after her.
Determined to find Aria, Mac headed out and eventually located her at the old crackle fire church, the same place they had met Nikki. He found her sitting there, visibly upset. "Aria," he called out. "Go away, babe," she replied. "I'm not leaving you," he insisted.
"Go be with your girlfriend, the one you're so infatuated with," Aria shot back.
"I'm not in love with her, Aria. I love you and Chase," Mac said earnestly. "That’s not what I saw today," she replied. "I’m sorry for everything, babe. I should never have trusted her. She broke my heart a long time ago, and I can’t forgive her. The only two people I love in this world are you and Chase."
"I'm not letting anyone take that away from me," Mac declares. "How can I trust you?" Aria questions. "Do you trust me?" Mac replies, extending his hand toward her. Aria takes his hand. "I just don't know how to make it up to you," she admits. "What if you be my date to Sarah's wedding?" Mac suggests.
Aria beams with joy. "I would love to!"
They share a joyful kiss before heading back to the Phoenix Foundation to confront chrysalis.
