Vienna was a driver for the F2 team Carlins alongside her best friend, Lando Norris in the 2018 season. They had been close friends with each other ever since she started karting as they started around the same time, they clicked and have been close ever since.

Everyone in the paddock knew they were inseparable.

Vienna was in her tiny driver's room where a small two-seater brown sofa which was opposite the door with her navy blue and white helmet balanced on the arm and a small crate with her training equipment inside in the far corner of the small space getting ready for the feature race while her best friend was sat on the sofa watching her.

"Do you think anything would happen this race?" Lando asked innocently to Vienna while she was mid sit up.

"Maybe? Why'd you ask?" Vienna answered, quite concerned about why he'd ask such a question to her.

"I don't really know, I have a really bad feeling about this race" Lando admitted which made Vienna stop doing sit-ups and she sat cross-legged facing the boy.

"You always get bad feelings before races Lan, you'll be fine." Vienna said with a big reassuring smile which made Lando sigh.

A mechanic knocked on the door which made the pair of drivers jump.

"Guys! It's time to go to the track!" The mechanic said with a small, nervous voice obviously scared about the race.

Vienna sat in her car and watched the time count down to the start of the race while the mechanics were checking her car before the race. She started p2 on the grid while her teammate started p3 and she knew it was going it be a close fight with him but she also knew that he wouldn't fight with her for that long which meant this was her chance to prove herself for the F1 teams as she's had many bad races that season.

As the mechanics rushed away from the car, Vienna knew she had to push over her limits to be able to have an f1 seat for herself the year after. She watched the bright red lights flash on one by one while her adrenaline and nerves rose until all the lights went out and all of her emotions went into racing.

After a few laps, she gained on George Russell (which was the person in front) of her and was able to overtake him and speed ahead while Lando followed her shortly after. A few laps later Lando got close enough to Vienna to have a little scrap for a few laps.

And that's went it went wrong.

Lando turned into turn eleven too early, clipping the right rear wheel of Vienna's car sending her spinning into the barrier and destroying the car.

"Are you okay?" Vienna's race engineer asked her with a worried tone.

"I hit my head really bad." Vienna answered weakly.

And then it all went black.

Six months later Vienna woke up confused in what she could tell was an overly bright hospital. She lifted herself to see a view of a busy city through the big window next to her bed and she looked down to see two blue padded chairs next to her bed. On the other side of her, she saw a bunch of get well soon cards, wrapped gifts, and flowers on a plain wooden nightstand. She attempted to get up and walk but because she was unconscious for a while, her knees were weak, so, she looked for the nurse button to get information on where she was and how she got there.

After a few minutes, a short middle-aged woman with short platinum hair walked in with a small smile on her face.

"Where am I?" Vienna asked the nurse while watching her doing something with the machine beside her.

"Miss Valentine, you are in a hospital in Bristol, you were transported here from a hospital in Monza after your teammate made you spin off the track." the nurse answered still messing with the machine while Vienna went wide-eyed in shock.

"He wouldn't do that." Vienna said in surprise. She couldn't believe what the woman was telling her. Her closest friend wouldn't do that to her..... Would he?

"It's always the ones you least expect honey, I don't even think he came to visit you." The nurse remarked and the room went quiet. Lando didn't mean to do that to Vienna right? The nurse was joking...Right?

"You're lucky you're alive love, here's your phone" The nurse broke the silence by handing Vienna her phone and the first thing she did was block Lando on everything. And then she saw something.

Her team resigned someone else in her seat.

She had lost her seat.

Because of him.

She never wanted to see him again.
