I take a closer look at the shark, realizing that it has a fedora on top of its head, which tells me it's not Mike. I still have my back against the wall, as I place my hand on my heart and try to calm my heartbeat, still paying close attention to the shark. It then tilts it's head before saying something aloud. "Do you have a name? Are you okay?" It asks. "Uhh- Y-yeah..I'm- Er- my n-name is Xavier..and..uh..I'm totally fine.." I reply, stuttering and shaking.

"You don't look very fine." The shark says, focusing it's attention onto the rubix cube on the floor. It then picks it up and starts playing with it. 'Gah..this is awkward...' I think to myself. "Do you uh...l-live here?" I ask. The shark looks up from the rubix cube, and replies with "Yeah! I live here."

"Why is there a second sleeping bag then?" I ask, taking my guard down and looking towards the sleeping bag under me, the one i was sleeping in. "That's for my buddy!" The shark says. "Your...buddy?" I ask. "Yeah!" The shark says, enthusiastically. It then exclaims out "Done!" And drops the rubix cube on the floor, causing me to jolt.

I look at the rubix cube lying down on the floor, seeing as it's completely finished. This shark solved it. Even I can't solve these things, so I wonder how he did it. "How the hell- You finished that in like...ten seconds! How do you do it?" I exclaim. "Well uh..it's kinda an old past time of mine..so I'm good at it I guess. You could say I'm the best speed cuber down here!" The shark exclaims, while picking the rubix cube back up from the floor and fidgeting with it.

"Well- Uh- Do you have a name?" I ask. "I'm surprised you didn't ask earlier, I'm not that scary!" The shark replies. After a few seconds go by, I speak up. "Uhh..is your name 'not that scary'? Like..is that your actual name?" I ask. "No, of course not! My name is Ryan!" He says, proudly. "Uhh..nice to meet you I guess.." I say. Ryan extends his arm out, as if wanting to do a handshake.

'Gah..Kalton told me to not even interact with them...shit, whatever..' I think to myself, before hesitantly extending my arm out to shake his..paw? I don't know...

It feels..slimy, but also..solid, kind of like goo, but it mostly feels solid. This feeling is so..new to me. It's almost as if I relax when I shake his paw, hand, whatever. It's so...calming.

I snap out of my thoughts, letting go of the shake, and looking at my hand to make sure there were no tricks at play. Sure enough, it's normal. I guess this guy is legit. "Uhh...nice..hat." I say. Ryan looks up with his eyes, and replies with "Thanks!" Then looks back down at me.

I start to hear steps approaching rapidly. "Oh shit oh shit oh shit...better not be Kalton..." I say, quietly. Ryan tilts his head. I look back and forth to my bat holder, then to where the entrance to the cave room I'm in is. I pick up my bat, steadily focusing on it. Ryan backs up, as if he thinks I'm about to hit him.

Only a second later, another gootraxian comes into my view, glowing orange- Wait- GLOWING ORANGE?! That's cool. It wears neon orange shades and neon orange headphones, along with some weird patterns along their arms.

Before I even get the chance to process the rest of what's happening, it runs up to me and throws a punch towards the side of my face. I collapse to the floor, dropping my bat and seeing a bit of blood come out from my face onto the floor, while I fall over.

I hear Ryan's voice yell something out, as I am kicked on the side of my stomach. I cough profusely, now in severe pain. I start to scream out in pain, as the hits stop. My ears begin to ring, canceling out all other noises around me. My eyes shut involuntarily, as I black out.

My eyes slowly open and I groan in pain from what just happened, seeing the same gootraxian who beat me, kneeling right before me, along with Ryan. If I want to hurt them, my only chance to do so is now.
