Chapter 22

Brent's POV

At the moment, the guys and I were having a meeting to go over the blueprints for the house that we were having built as a graduation present for our mate.

"I'm back!" Rose belted out.

"Hide it!" Damien scrambles to move all the papers off Colten's desk.

"Boys where are you? Family meeting!" She giggles. Well, that's had to be good news, she sounded particularly happy.

"Up here in the office!" Max shouts back.

My gorgeous mate sashays in the room and made us all sit down.

"I've decided...I'm ready." She said.

"Ready for what?" Damien asked her.

"I'm ready for us to make love." Colten choked on his coffee that he was drinking.

"Baby, are you sure? We can wait. It's not a big deal." Max insisted.

"I'm sure I'm ready. We can mark each other then and not have to worry about tracking down Abigail to perform another mating ritual or asking the new witch to do it." She said with a large smile.

"So, when?" Joel asked, I could tell he was eager, yet nervous. Shoot, so was I.

"Tonight. It's a full moon and it just feels right. I've got a good feeling." She smiled.

"Okay love, tonight." I told her with a grin.

We all scrambled up to Colten's bedroom, giggling and joking around. Life felt so perfect in the moment.

Rose's POV

"Congratulations Miss Canto, you're pregnant." The doctor across from me said.

"What? But we only did it for one night!" I insisted.

"It only takes once." She winked at me.

I came to the doctor thinking I had a stomach bug and found out I was pregnant. I couldn't believe my ears. What were the men going to say? Oh god, what if they don't want a baby yet? My stomach dropped. You're being silly, Rose. They're going to be overjoyed! I told myself. I didn't need to ask how far along I was, I remembered that night perfectly. There was so much love that I thought I'd go crazy.

After the doctor visit, I approached Colten's house and made my way in.

"Boys? You home?" I called out.

They were all sitting around the kitchen table arm wrestling. Wow, talk about a room full of testosterone.

I cleared my throat loudly and said, "I have something to say."

"What is it baby?" Brent asked me.

"I'm pregnant."

Colten's POV

I never saw myself being a father so soon. Saying that I'm excited is a huge understatement. Rose asked us to meet with her and her parents to deliver the news. I am a bit worried about her father kicking our asses.

"Stop fidgeting bro, this tie won't tie itself." Sophie muttered while she helped me get dressed up for the meeting. "There. You look like a respectable member of society now." She beamed and gave me a quick peck on the cheek. "Stop worrying, her parents already love you and graduation is already approaching fast so you'll be able to see Rose in public with no worries." She reassured me.

Soon after the pep talk I reach her parents house and knock on the front door.

"Ah Colten, the other guys are already here, come in!" Rose's mom ushered me into the living room. I sat in an empty chair over by Joel.
