LUNA

My face was burning, my hand was burning, and my eyes were burning. I felt like I was a walking bonfire.
The fucking tears wouldn't stop flowing. I could barely hold the sobs coming out of my mouth.
How dare he kissed me like that?
Since when he's been feeling like this? No, fuck no. I don't need to question this stuff. We can't. We won't.

I walked for I don't know how long. The rain was doing little to nothing to help me calm down.
Why does it hurt so much?
We always kept our distance. I mean, we have had some moments, but we never made a move or said anything. It's never been anything more than a couple of looks here and then. Or a slight touch of our fingers.
I hate to admit that I always hoped for more, but now...
It just complicates everything.

I finally made it to my apartment.
- Good evening, Mr. Lee. - I started to shiver as soon as I walked in.
- Ms. Montez, what happened?-
-My car broke down. I had to walk.-
He gave me questioning look and nodded. I called the elevator and walked in.
At home, I realized I left my phone, my laptop and my emergency clothes at Chris' apartment.

I was to fucking tired to give a fuck.
I got naked and stepped in the shower. The hot water felt amazing running down my body. It felt so good, I started to cry.
The anger, the heartbreak, all that happened this afternoon, all of it came down on me like a storm.
I just stood there and let it happen.
By the time I was done, I was exhausted.

I took the whole weekend as a " mental health day.""
Chris sent all my stuff yesterday morning.
I checked my phone and my emails.
I sent the email to the company in Paris, accepting the position. They replied immediately with the contract for me to read and sign.
Monday, at first hour. I signed it and sent it back.
Like I didn't have my car yet,  Chris sent a company car to pick me up and take me to work. Or so I thought.
The car parked at the apartment building 's garage.
I took the elevator to the seventh floor and knocked at his door.
- Good morning, Ms. Montez. - he said as he opened the door. The smell of his cologne invaded my head as I walked past him.
- Good morning, Mr. Chang.-
- I will be working from my office today. Please, feel at home, as always. -
I nodded and walked to the kitchen.
I put the laptop on the kitchen counter and set up all the paperwork next to it.

I turned on the coffee machine, and the memories from Friday's evening came to me. It felt as if I was reliving it all. I got dizzy.
- Are you ok?- he asked. He was standing inches away from me. I turned to look at him.
-No-
