Halloween Special

Chapter 2

When the girls arrived at Dupain-Chang bakery, they were greeted by Marinette's parents who were dressed up as Zombies and held out a plate to them with little brain cookies. 

"Hello, girls! Would you like to try some brains? They're fresh," Sabine said lovingly. 

"You know I do!" Alix chimed in, and before anyone could take a cookie. She dashed out of there with the plate of cookies and ran upstairs. 

"Alix! You come back here with those cookies!" Mylene shouted as she ran after her. 

"You gotta catch me, first!"

"Alix, those cookies are for all of us!" Rose began as she started walking up the stairs with Juleka.

Alya, and Marinette laughed as they watched their friends fight over cookies. 

"Come on, girl, let's go before we're left with the crumbs," said Alya as she pulled on her best friend's arm. 

"I'll meet you guys up there. I'm waiting for someone" replied Marinette, as she peered through the window. 

"Who?" 

"Kagami. I thought it would be a good idea to invite her since she's never been to a sleepover."

"Isn't Kagami a bit anti-social?" 

"Yes, but we're going to change that." 

"Girl, I hope this is out of the kindness of your heart and not because Kagami and Adrien are together." 

Marinette decided to ignore that last part and decided to end that conversation by handing Alya a tray of cookies. "Here these are for you and the girls, since Alix is not going to share those other ones."

Alya admired the plate of cookies and snapped a quick picture to post on the ladyblog. There were six cookies, half of them were ladybug themed and the other half were chat noir themed. 

"Woah, girl. Did you decorate these?" 

Marinette nodded proudly, then ran outside to help Kagami with her bags. 

Meanwhile with the boys. 

When Adrien arrived home, he made sure Gorilla kept his promise of staying in his room, then quickly ran to his room. 

"Plagg, claws out!" 

Once Chat Noir made it to front of the school. He noticed the amazed looks his friends gave him.

"Chat Noir? What are you doing here?" Nino asked curiously. 

"Can you keep it down a bit? I don't want to bring more attention to myself." 

They nodded then huddled closer together around the hero. 

"I am here because your friend needed help getting you guys into the Agreste Mansion without anyone noticing." 

"Yeah, but how are you going to do that? More importantly, how do you know Adrien?"

"Let's meet up at the side of the Agreste Mansion, then I'll answer some of your questions."

When they arrived, Chat Noir was no where in sight. That was until, he jumped over the brick wall and scared them with a clown mask. They all laughed, then Chat said, "I am going to carry all of you through that open window," then pointed to the open window that lead to Adrien's room. 

"Woah, dude! Are you crazy how are you supposed to carry all of us through that window?" 

"By carrying you one at a time. Now, who's up first?" Chat said nonchalantly. 

"Max," they all said as they pointed to him. 

"Hold onto your glasses!"

Max clung onto Chat's shoulder for dear life. He thought to himself how he's going to feel that later. One at a time, they were all in Adrien's room. They all momentarily, wondered where he was, but then got distracted by all the cool things Adrien had in his room. Well, everyone except Ivan, who wanted to wait for Luka.

Chat wondered to himself, why had he agreed to invite Luka in the first place? Then it dawned on him, Marinette. Right, Marinette. Why did he feel so overprotective of Marinette all of a sudden? He would have to look into it later. As Chat was lost in thought he heard someone greeting him.

"Hello, Chat Noir. What are you doing here?" 

Chat looked at Luka up and down then rolled his eyes, "I should ask you the same thing." 

"I would like to apologize for getting off on the wrong foot the other day. We were jus-" 

"Come on Ivan. He's here already. "

Chat dropped Ivan off and gave everyone a farewell, before they reminded him to bring Luka. 

"Riiiiiight. I almost forgot," Chat replied sarcastically. 

When he arrived, he gave Luka a dirty look. 

"What was that for? Is this because you saw Marinette and I at the park the other day?" 

"No, this none of your business. I'm just doing this for a friend. Now, hurry up, before I change my mind and call a police for trespassing."

When they arrived, Chat decided it was a good idea to let go of Luka a bit too early, which caused him to fall on the floor. Chat shrugged, then gave his friends a two-finger salute and left. When he detransformed in the bathroom, he got an ear full of complaints from Plagg about warning him the next time he wanted to transform. However, that was short lived when Adrien showed Plagg the stash of cheese he hide for the Kwami in the bathroom. 

"Hey, Adrien, where have you been?" Nino shouted from the other end of the room, "You just missed Chat Noir!" 

"Oh, sorry about guys. I was taking a shower." 

"Well, you didn't miss much. There was something off with Chat Noir today," added Kim as he surfed through all of Adrien's streaming services. 

"Why do you say that?" asked Adrien curiously. 

"Well, he was fine, until Luka showed up." 

"Actually, I think I know why he has been acting that way," Luka chimed in. 

All the guys sat down on the couch, and eager waited for Luka to continue. 

"So the other day, I was walking in the park, and I saw Marinette crying on a bench. I intently went to comfort her and asked her what was wrong," Luka briefly looked at Adrien, "She said that she saw the guy she liked hand another girl a rose and gave the girl a kiss on her cheek. Then she waited a while for her friend to visit her, which I thought meant Alya. In order to get her to laugh, I started making a fool of myself and made a pun about the situation, which made her laugh. Then I saw Chat Noir standing on her balcony looking and staring at us. That's when I knew he was the friend she was talking about." 

Adrien felt a pit growing in his stomach, and now guilt started to engulf him. Adrien realized that what happened to that guy Marinette liked sounded exactly like what happened with him and Kagami, after fencing practice. Then it hit him like a tone of bricks. 

Marinette liked him. 

Marinette LIKED HIM. 

MARINETTE LIKED HIM!
