I don't get emotionally connected to my family's anymore, there's been so many of them. Some days I feel bad but most days it doesn't bother me anymore. "Hey mom" "Emma. He runs his hand through his hair "I'll pick you up tomorrow at 9" "I have school" "I realize" "it starts at 7:30, I like to be there by 7:15 at the latest" "of course you do" he stands up "I'll be here at 7 then" I walk to the door "no matter how nice of a talk this was, its like 1 AM and I need sleep." I trudge up the steps and into my room. crawling into my bed without changing, I slowly drift to sleep.
