Chapter 5

Todays the day

"So you're the ones making all that noise down here." Mila turns around and sees her father Jack. "Dad?! Hi uhhhhhhh these are my.........friends." But her friends were gone, including the girl. Jack turns around to see that everything is gone. He turns back around to see everything gone as well and that now he was in a black void. A bright light blinds him, the light dims and shows something that he is familiar with. A woman with red hair, red as blood, sitting in front of him eating an ice cream sundae. She turns to Jack and smiles at him and he can't help but smile back. Next thing he sees is the woman's body covered in red, and it's not her hair. Jack cries next to her as two other people cry near him loud and painful cries. "JACK!" Jack wakes up to see his sister standing next to his bed. "Are you ok, I heard crying and I went to come see you." she said. Jack nods and goes to the restroom to take a shower. He goes to the kitchen to get something to eat. Once he's down there he sees that food is already on the table and the girls, including Mila, are eating. "Morning daddy." Squeaks cheerfully says "Morning sweetie. Mila, I see that you're out of the hospital. How are you?" Jack asks. Mila gives him a thumbs up and says "My body still hurts but a lot less now." Jack nods and sits down to eat. While eating Elithabeth just stares at her food. Lily looks at Elithabeth with concern. Lily turns to Jack and nods at Elithabeth. Jack nods and whispers to her "I'll talk to her later." Jack gets up and grabs his suitcase and changes into his suit. "Good luck on your new job brother, I feel like you'll need it." Jacks nodded and went to work.
Ok I can do this just gotta type and make calls.........and print stuff just a regular day at an office Jack thought to himself. In the middle of his work he gets called by one of his co-workers next to him. "Hey, hey Jack." they said. "What?" Jack responded. She walks up to him and shows him a picture on her phone. It has a person running away with a bag with money flying out of the back. "Why are you showing me this?" Jack says, suspecting something from her. "I'm showing you this because they were found with a murder of 31 guards and only 14 injured, and I want you to be careful when out there. A lot of bad stuff happens here." She tells him. "Don't worry I'll be careful you also be careful ok." Jack responds. The woman nods and goes back to work. The day is almost over and Jack is getting ready to leave. He walks to the elevator then stops. I'll take the stairs instead, Jack thought. Once he got home Jack started cooking dinner and he heard the door open. "Dad, can you come here? I want you to see my date." Elithabeth said. Jack walks over to the living room. "Ok where is he?" Jack asked. Elithabeth pulls her date over and says "Here she is, her names Pearl."'' Pearl looked like the girl that was in his dream, she had short red hair, a black eye patch with a black flower that has a white center on her left eye, long sleeved grey shirt, black skirt with grey on the edges, black pants, and grey shoes. Jack and Pearl shook hands as Elithabeth said "Dad this is Pearl, Pearl this is my Dad."
"Glad to meet you Pearl and please just call me Jack." "Ok sir, it's nice to meet you too." Pearl said. Elithabeth stares at Jack almost as if she was worried. Jack looked at her and asked if she was ok. Elithbeth nodded and said "I'm fine it's just your not mad or disappointed that your daughter is... well gay." Jack shook his head and said "Why in the world would I be disappointed or mad, if you're gay that's fine with me I won't be angry with you. How about I give you some money for a restaurant you can go too." Elithabeth nodded and thanked him.
CRASH. Jack wakes up from his bed and runs downstairs to the kitchen. Once there he finds Squeaks who has cut her arm because a glass cup broke. Jack crouches down next to Squeaks and wraps her arm with a paper towel, he asks her "Why are you in the kitchen, you're supposed to be asleep, and did you throw the glass cup?" Squeaks nodded and said "I-I've been having nightmares and I saw someone come to the kitchen and I fell and cut myself." Jack asked how long have the dreams have been happening. "3 weeks everyday, and they still haunt me." Squeaks responded. Jack nodded and asked "Squeaks do you want to sleep with me until they go away?" Squeaks smiles and nods. They went up to Jack's room, and as Jack opens the door he feels the presence of his rival. He turns around and only sees Squeaks standing there tired but scarred. Once they both get inside Squeaks jumps onto the bed and puts on the blanket. "Get comfy, ok I'm going to clean up the kitchen." Jack said, but Squeaks was already asleep. Once Jack got down stairs he put his hand out in front of him and covered it with electricity to light up the kitchen. He grabbed a broom and the thing that came with it to pick up the trash, I forgot what they were called. Once he broomed up the glass he went back up to his room and went to sleep. BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP Jack slaps the alarm clock and stretches. He gets up from his bed and goes to take a shower. After he puts on his clothes he pats Squeaks on the head and goes to grab his suitcase. He goes downstairs and opens the fridge. Once he closes it he turns around and sees Mila. "HOLY SH-, Mila don't scare me like that." Jack said, Mila bows down and says "Sorry dad but I forgot to tell you that we are having a parent teacher conference today." Jack sighs and nodds. Once Jack calls his co-worker, Rebecca, and asks her if she can take over his shift. He gets in his car and waits for Squeaks, Mila, and Elithabeth. Once they hopped in the car Jack turned the key and the car made a weird noise. Jack gets out of the car and opens the frunk. Once he disconnects the cables connected to the car battery he covers his hand with electricity and charges the battery. He closes the frunk and hops back into the car. Once Jack started the car he drove to the school. Once he got there he went to the attendance office.
Mila opens the door and gets punched in the face. "OW what the hell!" she screamed. Felix came out with an ice pack and gave it to Mila. "Holy crap sorry about that Mila I thought you were.." Josh gives a pissed look at Mila "Rosa." Mila thanks Felix and says "Wait what happened between you and Rosa?" Rosa walks past Josh, while giving him a death stare, and says "JOSH, stole my perfume and makeup from my backpack." Josh turns to her and says "Ya likely story but why don't tell them why YOU took my phone and my lunch?!" Rosa scoffs then walks into class. Josh rolls his eyes then also walks into class. Mila gets up and asks Felix "So which story is true?" Joseph walks up and says "Neither of them. Well kinda, I took their stuff and wanted to see what happened." Mila nods, then she asks Felix "Why did you have this ice pack?" Felix turns to her, helps her up and pulls up his shirt. Above his waist is a big bruise and some blood on it. Mila gasps and puts the ice pack on his bruise. Felix fights the pain. "What happened to you Felix?" Mila asks. Felix, trying to take the pain, says "Some guys came up to me yesterday and punched me, multiple times, and said to not take their stuff anymore even though I didn't." Mila looks at Felix and says "Damn those people, if you need anything come talk to me, I could go to your house." Felix's face starts turning red and he says "No you don't have to, I'm fine really." Mila shakes her head and says "No, I'm going you got punched and i'm your friend so ima go to your house ok." Felix nods. Both of them start looking deeply at each other. They both start hearing smooth jazz music and they turn to see Juli with a music box. Both of them scream "JULI!" Juli stares at them then says "What too early for y'all or what?" They both scoff.
