Chapter 7

School

BEEP BEEP BEEP Mila turns off the alarm clock and yawns. Mila, Elithabeth, and Squeaks got up from bed to go brush their teeths. While getting ready Elithabeth asks Mila "How come you didn't go to Felix's house yesterday?" Mila responds "Well it's because I had to talk with his parents about when I can come over. They said that I could go today." Elithabeth nods and says "Well that's good you can take care of your boyfriend while he's healing." Mila nods then turns to Elithabeth and yells "HE'S NOT MY BOYFRIEND! Just a friend." Elithabeth rolls her eyes and starts walking to the front door. Once all 3 of them were ready they opened the front door and started walking to school. After a half an hour of walking they make it to school. As they walk deeper into the hallway Squeaks and Elithabeth start walking to their classes. Mila reaches her class and opens the door to see the class acting like monkeys in a zoo. Mila walks inside, ducks in order to dodge a chair that someone threw, and sits down. Next to her Juli is listening to music with her headphones. After a couple of minutes Josh walks in the room and sits down. Then the teacher walks in and everyone sit's down. "Ok class today is the day of your presentations so I hope you are all prepared." The teacher exclaimed. Mila looks at Josh and can see that he's sweating bullets. Must have not done it, Mila thought to herself. Then she pulls out her poster for her presentation. After the first period Mila started walking towards her second class. After her second class Mila walked to the cafeteria and waited in line. Behind her is Joshua and Joseph arguing. Mila grabbed her lunch then sat down at a table at the back of the cafeteria. Squeaks, Elithabeth, Josh, Joey(Joseph), Juli, Pearl, and Rosa sit with Mila at the table. Josh is the first person to speak saying "So how is Felix doing?" Mila takes a bite out of her food then says "I'm not sure yet I'm going to his house today so ya." Everyone just starts eating their food. After 5 minutes Joseph says "So have any of you heard of the mystery people that appeared yesterday?" Pearl stares at him then says "Нет, а откуда вы об этом знаете?" Everybody stares at her then she translates herself "No, and how do you know about it?" Joseph say's "One, are you Dutch and Two, I saw it in the news, one with red hair and two with different shades of blue hair." Pearl responded "No I haven't seen that on the news yet. Also i'm not dutch I just like the way it sounds. I could say different things and you wouldn't know. Neuk je." The bell rings and everyone gets up. Mila says goodbye to everyone as she walks to class. Once she gets there she sits down and looks next to her. The bell rings again and the teacher walks in. After 20 minutes Mila looks next to her (she sits next to a window). She sees a person standing in the field staring at her, they were wearing a black cloak so she couldn't see them. She could only see one bright yellow eye looking at her. "Mila." Mila looked back at the teacher who was already on a different part. After class ended Mila ran over to the field. When she got there she didn't see the person anymore.
Mila was in front of Felix's house, it was 2 stories high and was dark red. Mila rang the doorbell and waited, a minute later the door opened to a woman who looked clearly like Felix's mom. "Hello, are you Mila?" asked Felix's mom, Mila nodded. Felix's mom beckoned her inside and Mila walked in. "His room is on the second floor all the way to the right. Make sure you...... keep a little bit of distance ok." Mila nodded and started walking over to Felix's room. Once she got there she opened the door and saw Felix sitting on his bed eating soup. Felix looked up and noticed Mila, he pointed to the chair next him. Mila sat down and asked if he was sick. Felix nodded and said "The bruise hurts still but after a while it stops. After I got the bruise a couple days later I got sick for some reason and it seems to keep getting worse."
"What did the doctor say?"
"He said he's never seen a sickness this bad and the bruise-'' he put up his shirt to show the bruise "It hurts even more than before but like i said it stops after a little bit." The bruise had gotten bigger and it looked like more blood came out than before. Mila looked at him then at the floor and said "Felix...I wish I was there so I could've helped you. If there is anything you need then let me know I'll help you with anything you need. If you need to finish homework I'll do it, if you need food I'll grab some. Anything you need I'll do it." Felixed looked at her, smiled, then said "Thank you Mila, you really are a great friend." I just wish I could save you from this pain Mila thought. Mila looked up and asked "Do you want me to stay?" Felix looked at her but before he could say anything he started coughing, his cough was raspy and sounded like it hurt everytime he coughed. Mila helped him lay down carefully. "As much as a sleepover sounds great I don't think it would be okay for you to sleep here. I'm sorry." Felix said with a raspy voice. Mila nodded, then got up, grabbed his bowl, and started to leave. Then she turned around and asked "Do you want me to come tomorrow?" Felix nodded but looked like he was dozing off. Mila left but then wondered Why did Felix's mom tell me to keep distance? Maybe because he is sick Mila went down stairs and gave the bowl to Felix's mom and then left.

The next day at school Mila woke up and got ready. Once she got in her dad's car she waited for everyone else. As her dad was driving toward the school he asked "So Mila how was Felix?" Mila looked at Jack and said "He's pretty bad, he's sick and also bruised really badly." Jack nods then says nothing as he continues to drive.
Mila makes it to school and splits up with Squeaks and Elithabeth and walks into class. Once she's in class she's someone sitting on Joshua's seat. They had blue hair with a red strip that covered his right eye, a gray jacket and shirt, maroon jeans that were ripped at the knee, and light blue shoes. Mila looks at him in confusion then says "Uhm excuse me my friend Joshua sit's there." The person looks at her and says "Mila it is me who else would I be'' Mila looks at him for a second then says "What's with the change then Josh." Joshua looks at her, laughs, then says "What you don't like my new look? I thought I could change my style a bit. I think it looks nice." Mila rolls her eyes and sits down. She looks at Joshua one more time and sees his eye. Yellow eyes? That can't be right, he has brown eyes Mila thought as she looked at Josh.
Once at lunch everyone sits down with Mila but Mila sees that Julia has also changed. Juli now had light blue hair that was tied into a ponytail and with small pink strips near the front, her right eye was blue while the other was pink, 2 small light blue star stickers on her right cheek, light gray sweater, dark gray skirt,gray pants with a white line on the side, and black boots (Yes I know it's a long description). Rosa looks at both of them then says "How come both you guys decided to get a new look? It's not even close to new years." Julia and Joshua shrug and start eating. Joseph looks up and says "You know the craziest thing happened yesterday." Everyone looks at him and he continues "Someone tried to kidnap me and Josh. I managed to escape but Josh you didn't, so tell me how did you escape huh?" Joshua stares at him, laughs, then says "What you don't think I could fight huh?" Rosa looks at him concerned then says "Josh you mostly try to stay out of fights, of course if you needed to then you would." Josh nodded but instead of saying something, he started eating. The bell rings then everyone gets up to leave. Mila grabs Joseph's arm and pulls him away from everyone. "What is it?" Joseph asks. "Listen if what you said is true then we need to find them, and do something about these imposters." Mila responds. Joseph nods then says "We can look around for clues, oh, and don't worry about the imposters of Juli and Josh I'll take care of them." Mila nods then says "Ok but be careful." Joseph shrugs then says "Where's the fun in that."
