The stadium bustled with excitement as a major race event approached. Dew was there, his presence commanding the attention of everyone around him. As he prepared for the race, he couldn’t shake the guilt that crept into his mind. Nani’s absence weighed heavily on him, but he couldn’t bring himself to reach out.

After the race, Dew spotted Nani cleaning in a corner, and his heart twisted. “Look at you,” he sneered, masking his own guilt with cruelty. “You used to be someone; now you’re just a pathetic cleaner.”

Nani looked up, pale and fragile, his stomach subtly round. “You don’t know anything about me,” he shot back, anger bubbling beneath his exhaustion.

Dew scoffed, the harshness in his words a reflection of his inner turmoil. “You’re nothing but a loser. Just look at yourself.”

Nani’s heart ached, but he refused to give Dew the satisfaction of seeing him crumble. “I’m doing what I have to do,” he replied, voice trembling. “You should try it sometime.”
