"Bumblebee, is this really a good idea, I've heard about these parties. Haven't you?" Jonah asks as Kaitlyn, Becca and Amber all rolled their eyes at his comment as he adjusts his black cardigan.
"Relax we've been to one of these parties before" Kaitlyn said as I nodded looking down at the ground praying I don't trip over my feet in these knee high heeled boots. Only to look up at him to see his face scrunched up in disgust "Why the hell would you even go somewhere like this!? I mean with the way you dress sometimes I can imagine you here but still" He asked incredulously as I bit my lip, tugging down the hem of my black dress, but it keeps riding up my thighs
"Bella, Kaitlyn, Amber, and I went to this party last year, that's where we met Abby's boyfriend Zack's friend" Becca said as Kaitlyn glared at him "What do you mean with how she's dressed you can imagine her here? She looks hot" she argued as Jonah glared back at her "Hot? No, no, she looks like a slut" he said giving me a once over making me cross my arms in front of me really regretting wearing what I was wearing. "You know what-" Kaitlyn started only for me to cut her off "It's fine Kait, let's just go in" I said giving her a sad smile as I adjusted my camera strap as we walked up the driveway.
"Is Abby and her prick of a boyfriend that did my tattoo going to be there?" Jonah asked with a distasteful tone in his voice. "Yeah they'll be here" I said giving him a tight smile to hide my irritation as he lets out a heavy sigh "Wonderful, just wonderful" he said as I glanced over at the girls who just rolled their eyes "So who's this guy anyway, you've never mentioned this Nick guy before today" he said
"Just a friend of an old friend's that I met when I first moved here, but then we lost contact and hadn't seen each other again until today" I explained hiding the fact that the said 'old friend' was a guy and that 'guy' was Harrison because I've never actually met Nick before
Jonah frowns "If this 'friend' of yours is someone that spends their time at parties like this, then I don't think it's a good idea to even start that friendship back up again" he said with a disapproving tone causing the girls to scoff "I think she can make her own choices" Becca said causing me to give her a look "Becca, I've got this. I wasn't planning on fully starting the friendship back up, it's just they needed me to take pictures of the party. That's all" I said as he sighed again " I still don't understand why they needed you to do it" he said as I furrowed my brows, stopping in my tracks causing the girls to do the same as I looked at him "Do you seriously not think that I could get paid to take pictures?" I asked feeling a little hurt.
Jonah shoves his hands in his jean pockets "That's not what I meant, but we've talked about this, photography isn't what we planned on you doing as a job, remember? We've talked about you going into the law firm business with my dad and I" he said as I nodded "yeah, I know, but what if I could though, like maybe I could do photography as a job....instead of the law firm" I hesitantly said while shrugging my shoulders
