The car ride has been deafening, the silence felt like it weighed about a thousand tons and honestly, I'd rather take the sound of a screaming baby over the crippling quietness.

I stare out the window, watching as the rain drops hit the glass, or slowly trickled down when we come to a stop light

I can constantly feel Harrison's gaze on me, I don't know what it is but the way he looks at me it always gives me that same feeling when you can sense someone behind you, there's just something about his presence that surrounds you.

By the time we arrived at my house that I shared with the girls, the amount that I had drank had hit me like a ton of bricks, even though the car was parked it felt like it was still moving

Closing my eyes I let out a slow breath to steady the spinning in my head, which only just made it worse

Harrison still hadn't said a word, he's just sat back in the drivers seat while watching me with his elbow up on the door, toying his fingers over his bottom lip with his brows furrowed

"Welp, you got what you wanted, as usual. You happy now?" I murmured while resting my hand on my forehead as my head lulled back against the seat "I'm home now, so I guess I'll be going" I added. But he still doesn't speak, just searches his eyes over my face and body

I reached for the door handle, swinging the car door open as I throw my feet out to hit the ground "I guess I won't be seeing you later" I stated my voice sounding defeated and tired. I don't even wait for a reply because I know I won't get one.

I hold onto the car door as I stumbled out, trying to balance myself on the door before I slammed it shut behind me

I can't even turn to look at him, my heart is already aching enough from being so close to him. I found myself already missing him when I was sitting right next to him and I honestly can't stand it.

I take slow wobbly steps towards the porch, feeling my eyes start to burn, as my throat tightened

I blink, as I felt the tears start to slip from my eyes, mixing in with the rain dropping onto my face

I trip over my feet, staggering forward I quickly throw my arms out to steady myself before I could faceplant the concrete, cursing under my breath

Getting to my front door was going to be a fucking train wreck at this point

Suddenly, I hear a car door slam, and within seconds I feel a jacket being draped over my head and a strong arm wrapped around my waist

I slowly peered up to see Harrison looking down at me, his hair becoming damp from the rain and there's wet strands hanging down on his forehead

I watched as the drops of water trickled down his breathtaking face, trickling down all of his features that I've burnt into my mind.

The rain drops trailed down his perfectly shaped lips which causes him to roll them into his mouth, wetting them with his tongue, which I find myself jealous of those rain drops

"What are you doing?" I asked while I continued to stare at him like he was crazy but he didn't even seem to be bothered by any of this

"Making sure that you get inside safely" he replied, his eyes seeming sad as they take in the bloodshot state of my own

"I don't fucking need your help" I argued which only caused Harrison to tighten his arm around my waist, urging for me to walk "I never said that you did, now, let's get you inside, you'll get sick if you stay out here any longer"

Sighing, I hugged my arms around myself while looking at the ground as he guides me up the steps of my porch and stops by the door, bending down to grab the girls and I's spare key out from under the rug and unlocked the door, opening it and leading me inside with his arm still wrapped around me.
