Waited For You

Chapter 13

Author's POV :-

Sanchi was setting her breakfast table when someone knocked on her door. She opened her door and frowned after seeing the person standing in front of her.
"What are you doing here Atharv?" , asked Sanchi.
Atharv flashing the box infront of her said, "Came to return it and o my god did you prepared stuffed parathas for breakfast, I am very hungry" and passing by Sanchi he entered her apartment taking a seat on the chair infront of which the breakfast plate was set up, kept the box and started having the parathas.
Sanchi after understanding what happened closed her door and said
" What on earth are you doing Atharv?".
Atharv replied with "Having breakfast and really the food is amazing so much so that I want to kiss your hands " and continued having his food. Sanchi got stunned after listening his statement and was observing Atharv who was enjoying the parathas without caring what his statement caused to Sanchi.
After he finished the parathas served on the plate he looked up to Sanchi with puppy eyes🥺. Sanchi observed this and went to kitchen, only to return with more parathas. Atharv's  eyes shined after observing Sanchi's action. Sanchi after keeping the parathas on his plate also served him some curd. Atharv gladly accepted the curd saying " You know it's the best combination". Sanchi said " I know and it is your favourite right " but stopped abruptly realising what she said. Atharv too halted his eating and gave his complete attention to her.
Sanchi to divert the topic asked Atharv "Will you take some tea I am going to prepare for myself " and headed towards the attached kitchen. Atharv said "But you don't drink tea Sanchi ". Sanchi realised what blunder she did and said "Everything changes with time" and there was an awkward silence between both of them.
After some time to break the silence Atharv said " I am done, going to the office so bye, take care also have your breakfast " and started to move out of the house but once again turned towards Sanchi and said " Will you help me to sort the things?"
Sanchi replied " I am busy " and with this Atharv 's face fell down but he covered it quickly saying " Ya you must be , bye ". With this he departed from the house.

Flashback :-

" I am sorry I was unable to answer the doorbell" said Atharv. Shocked would be an understatement compared to what Sanchi felt and it was very clear with her expressions.
Atharv on the other hand seemed happy to see her, his eyes shined when he saw Sanchi in front of him. He noticed the two boxes which Sanchi held and excitedly took both the boxes from her saying " These are mine right?" Sanchi just said " Ya just one between them as I did not knew it was you ". Atharv till then had already kept his wooden box on the side table and opened the other one to find cupcakes in it. He smelled them and said "Amazing, a great welcome indeed". Sanchi said " What !? Did you hear me what I said ?"
Atharv - " Yes I did, I heard that everything present here belongs to me and everything means everything".
Sanchi - " Are you deaf also are you out of your mind? Why are you behaving like this ?"
Atharv - " The cupcakes look amazing and so do you ".
Sanchi's eyes widen listening it and she said " What ? Did you hit your head somewhere?"
Atharv with a very soft tone said "Sanchi will you please help me to unpack the things and settle them?"
Sanchi - " And why will I do that?"
Atharv - " You know na how am I in these things and the days are quite hectic in the office on top of that everyone who could have helped are engaged in something or the other".
Sanchi - " You are unbelievable" and started moving out of the apartment.
Atharv said " But yours" and Sanchi's steps halted but she didn't turn around to see him and moved out of the apartment.

Present time :-

Atharv's POV :-
I so wanted to hug and give a forehead kiss to her. I so damn wanted to do that but seems like they will have to wait quite a long time. Only I know how I controlled myself infront of her.

Sanchi's POV:-
What has happened to him? Why is he behaving like this? Why is he acting like everything is normal between us? Why is he doing this, why can't he make things easier for me, for both of us? Why he has to start this? Nothing can change between us, nothing should change between us.
