Waited For You

Chapter 5

Atharv's POV

It's midnight and sleep is the last thing which I can get today because of HER . I don't know why I am missing HER more than usual today maybe because I heard that same name after years 'SANCHI' but just the names are same. There are so many people in this world who share the same name, even same surname along with the same name. I closed my eyes and tried to find some peace remembering HER , our moments and memories. I sighed realising it's the same every night. I miss her a lot, I really miss her a lot. I kissed the bracelet tied in my wrist and stood up from the bed, got out of my room and started walking towards the direction of the palace's kitchen. I am craving for chai (tea). The whole corridor was completely silent and dark with only few dim lights switched on, what am I even thinking it's around midnight everyone must have slept. As I almost reached the kitchen I saw a shadow inside the kitchen. I quickly unlocked the kitchen door and was going to hit the person with the glass I picked just a second before but stopped my hand as I saw the person

Sanchi's POV

I was all alone in the kitchen preparing my hot chocolate but got startled when I turned around and saw Atharv with a glass in his hand which seemed like he was going to hit me. I asked "What are you doing?" He kept the glass in the kitchen slab an instead of replying he asked "What are you doing here in the midnight ?" I said "Even I can ask the same question and I asked first".
He said "I wanted a cup of tea as I was unable to sleep so came here to prepare it and saw a shadow from outside so misunderstood you as a thief. What about you?"
I replied with " I was also unable to sleep and was craving for hot chocolate so came to prepare one". He nodded in understanding and took another utensil to prepare his tea and asked "Is your headache alright now?"
I was taken aback with his question and replied as " Ya but how did you know I had  headache?" He replied that he randomly heard somewhere which I could not digest as I just informed this to Nihanshi which was a lie as I wanted to escape meeting him after knowing that he is the same Atharv but he is here infront of me and I can't even ignore him because I want to act normal as if we are meeting for the first time. I wanted to stop myself from saying anything further to him but this stupid brain and mouth didn't support me and I end up saying "If you don't mind can I suggest you something?" He gave his attention from pouring the milk into the utensil to me and positively nodded his head. I said " If you want to sleep then don't drink tea now instead eat or drink something sweet that's why I am making hot chocolate. If you wish to drink I can make some for you as well". I asked " Are you sure?" I replied with "100%, it's tested and verified " and he agreed. I added the milk he poured in his utensil into the one in which I was making hot chocolate. After it was done I poured it into 2 big cups and offered one to him . He took a sip of it and appreciated it by saying  "It's really very tasty the best hot chocolate I have ever had ". I reciprocated his appreciation with a smile and thank you.

I stepped out of the kitchen and went towards the pool side and dipped my leg inside. I did not expected that Atharv too would join me but he did and asked "Are you a bhoot jo akele bhatakna chahti ho?" I replied with " Ab raat ke 12:30 baje toh kisi ki company expect nahi na kar sakti siwaye kisi bhoot ya chudail ke aur tum bhi joke karne lage?" He appeared shocked and I realised what I said,this stupid mouth 🤦, in order to cover my mistake I said " I mean aap bhi joke karte hai aapko dekhke lagta nahi ki aap jokes marte honge" . He just replied with an Oo. I just wish he did not focus on that statement. There was complete silence for few seconds but then he asked that why I choose to become a pilot. I replied saying " Since childhood I wanted to fly like butterflies and birds, I wanted to touch the sky. There was only one career option which could help me to live my dream so I decided to become a pilot. What about you?" He replied saying " I had always liked technology and programming and computer is a very important part of my life so decided to make my career in this field ". I nodded understanding his intention and till then our hot chocolates were over so I wished him good night and headed back to my room without looking back. It still feel the same to be with him and my heart crave for more. Why is my heart so stupid even after knowing everything. Thank God I listen to my mind over my heart. I laid down on my bed and didn't realise when sleep overtook my mind.
