The next morning was calm, with everything going on as usual in the Khurana mansion. But soon, the atmosphere shifted as the Singhania family arrived. Indrani was the first to greet them at the door, her hands joined together respectfully. "Namaste, Mr. and Mrs. Rajveer. Please, come inside," she said warmly, though her eyes kept glancing toward the entrance, clearly waiting for someone.

Indrani guided the Singhanias to the living room, gesturing for them to take a seat on the couch. A few moments later, Dev joined them, and they all began discussing business matters. Despite the conversation, Indrani's gaze remained fixed on the doorway.

Noticing this, Devika Singhania, Vaibhav's mother, leaned forward slightly and said, "Vaibhav had an important meeting at the office. He'll be here soon."

Indrani gave a small, understanding nod and a smile, then glanced toward Sumitra, who had been waiting nearby. "Sumitra, go call Ananya. Her in-laws are here," she instructed.

Sumitra nodded quickly, "Ji, Maa," and turned to leave, heading up to get Ananya.

Sumitra headed upstairs to Ananya's room, her eyes widening as she found Ananya casually sitting on the bed, scrolling through her phone, completely unprepared. "Hey Bhagwan! This girl..." Sumitra muttered in irritation as she walked over to her.

"Madam ji!" she called, trying to get her attention.

"What?" Ananya replied without even looking up from her phone.

"Your soon-to-be in-laws are here to see you! And you're still sitting here like this! Get up and go get ready, quickly!" Sumitra raised her voice, half-scolding.

"Maa, don't shout. I'll go change now," Ananya said nonchalantly, putting down her phone and walking to the wardrobe. She soon emerged wearing a simple yet graceful white dress. She combed her hair neatly, placed a small black bindi between her eyebrows, and lined her eyes with a touch of kajal. Satisfied with the minimal look, she headed toward the door.

"At least put on a little light makeup!" Sumitra called after her.

But Ananya ignored her mother's suggestion and started heading downstairs. Sumitra sighed and followed, muttering, "This girl never listens to a word I say."

Ananya stepped into the living room, taking a deep breath, and greeted the Singhania family with a soft, "Namaste."

"Namaste, beta," Devika responded warmly. "Come, sit down," she said, patting the spot beside her and making space. Ananya nodded politely, moving to sit next to Devika, her gaze lowered, feeling a bit shy. The elders quickly started discussing family matters, chatting away about each other's backgrounds and shared connections. Ananya sat quietly, her hands clasped in her lap, and kept her eyes downcast, listening to the conversation but not really joining in.
