Place: MumbaiIt was a week since that night, and the air in Mumbai seemed cleaner, lighter—as if a layer of darkness had finally lifted. The temple now sat abandoned, the paths leading to it overgrown with weeds, and the whispers of fear that had once surrounded it had faded into silence.
Sameer, Naina, Munna, Swati, and Avneet gathered one last time, choosing to meet at the beach where they could see the ocean stretching endlessly, a reminder of life's vastness. Sitting in a quiet corner, they reminisced in silence about their friends, each of them holding a part of the memories close.
"Humne apne doston ko toh mukti de di, lekin unki yaadein humare saath hamesha rahengi," Naina whispered, her voice breaking. (We've given our friends peace, but their memories will always remain with us.)
Avneet clutched a small vial that Maa Bai had given her, filled with sand from the temple's grounds. It was a keepsake, a reminder of their journey. She placed it on the sand, burying it near the shore. "Yeh unka ek nishaan hai... lekin unki kahani bas hum tak hi simat kar reh jaaye toh behtar hai," she said softly. (This is a mark of them... but it's better if their story remains only with us.)
Life Moves On
The sun was setting, casting a golden hue over the water, bathing them in its warmth. They felt something they hadn't experienced in days—a calm that spoke of healing, of moving on. They knew they would always carry the scars, the shadows of what they had faced, but they also knew that life had to go on.
Sameer turned to the group with a small smile. "Yeh waqt hai naye safar ka, naye yaadon ka... aur naye sapnon ka," he said, his voice filled with quiet determination. (It's time for a new journey, new memories... and new dreams.)
They stood, side by side, each one of them silently vowing to live fully, to honor their friends by embracing life and the possibilities ahead.
In the Temple's Shadows
As the friends walked away, the beach quiet behind them, a faint shadow seemed to linger on the temple's edge, watching. And as the last of the sunlight faded, the shadow melted into the temple stones, leaving the ancient site in silence once more—a silence that would hold, waiting patiently, until the next soul dared to enter its depths.
