"Meli, come on, we're going to be late!" Y/N called, glancing over her shoulder with a grin. She and Melissa had been tinkering in the workshop for hours, caught up in the excitement of designing gadgets that could one day support pro heroes. Y/N reached out, poking Melissa's sides playfully until a string of soft giggles escaped from her friend.

"Y/N, stop!" Melissa laughed, trying to swat her hands away, their small giggles bubbling into full laughter until they had to catch their breath. Finally, Melissa raised her hands in surrender. "Okay, okay, I'll finish up! He won't be here for another hour anyway. Why don't we wrap things up and head to the pier?"

Y/N pouted, though her heart skipped with excitement. She tried to focus, but her hands shook slightly as she worked, unable to stop the wave of anticipation building inside her. Time slipped by unnoticed until the workshop alarm beeped, signaling an hour had passed. Y/N's head whipped around, a wide smile spreading across her face as she rushed over, grabbing Melissa's hand.

"Y/N!" Melissa rolled her eyes, feigning annoyance, but her smile betrayed her amusement. "I was finishing that, you dummy!"

"You said an hour, Meli!" Y/N laughed, pulling her toward the door with a bounce in her step. Melissa joined her laughter, their voices mixing as Y/N practically dragged her along, even using her quirk to gain an extra boost.

"Slow down, Y/N!" Melissa chuckled, though she couldn't help but get swept up in Y/n's enthusiasm.

"Can't wait! Can't wait!" Y/N's words were breathless with excitement as they reached the pier. The deep blast of the boat's horn echoed over the water as it pulled into the dock, sending a thrill down her spine. Together, they stood at the top of the staircase, searching the crowd until her eyes landed on him.

And there he was. His gaze met hers, and he smiled that familiar, big-hearted smile that made the whole world feel safe. Y/N's heart leaped as she held Melissa's hand tightly, using her quirk to launch them down the small flight of stairs.

"Dad!" Y/N shouted, her voice catching with emotion as she collided into All Might's arms. Tears pricked her eyes as he hugged her close, wrapping her and Melissa in a warm, solid embrace that felt like home.

"Uncle Might!" Melissa beamed, squeezing him as he chuckled, lifting them effortlessly as if they weighed nothing.

"Look at you two—you've both grown so much," All Might said, spinning them gently, his laughter filling the air. Y/N felt a happy dizziness as she clung to him, laughing alongside Melissa as he finally set them down. Y/N threw her arms around him again, her voice dropping to a soft whisper.

"I missed you, Dad," she said, a tear escaping as she buried her face in his shoulder.

"Oh, honey, don't cry. I'm here now," he murmured, his hand brushing the tears from her cheek. His eyes softened, and there was a look there that only a parent has—the kind that understands without words.

It wasn't a secret that she was the adoptive daughter of the number one hero, All Might. He'd taken her in after her mother, M/N, had passed away. Y/N had faint, precious memories of her mother—the gentle way she'd smile, the way she'd hug her, the safe warmth she'd bring even on the hardest days. All Might had always been there too, her mother's close friend, and in her early years, she'd even called him Dad without a second thought. After her mother was gone, he was the only family she had left, and he'd never hesitated to bring her into his life.

He still remembered the night she arrived at his home, eyes red and swollen from crying, her small body shivering under the weight of grief. He'd comforted her as best as he could, knowing her world would never be the same. There were sleepless nights, nights when she would wake up from nightmares so vivid they made her activate her quirk in her sleep, leaving dents and holes scattered across her room. As crime surged in Japan, he'd decided it was safer for her to live with his friend Dave in America, and though it was the right choice, saying goodbye that day had been one of the hardest things he'd ever done. He still remembered her tearful face, the way she'd clung to him, begging him not to leave her behind. He'd promised he'd visit every year, and he had—on her birthday and every summer.

Melissa had been like a sister to Y/N, filling her days with laughter, adventure, and an endless supply of gadget-building knowledge. Melissa had taught her everything, sparking Y/N's own fascination with creating. Eventually, Y/N had built her own gadget—a motorcycle that ran entirely on her quirk, no gas required. She loved the sleek, powerful look of it; it made her feel unstoppable.

Suddenly, she noticed a familiar head of green hair behind her dad. "Izuku!" Y/N called, running to him with a wide grin. Izuku's eyes widened, a blush creeping onto his cheeks as she hugged him, his voice stumbling as he greeted her back.

"Y-Y/N!" he stammered, clearly flustered, and Y/N laughed, stepping back but still grinning at his reaction. She threw an arm around his shoulders as they followed Melissa and All Might, who had launched into a conversation about Dave.

"So, I heard you're starting your third year at UA!" she said, nudging him. "How's it going?"

"It's... it's going well! Still a lot to learn," he replied, scratching the back of his head, but he smiled as he looked at her. She'd always loved hearing about his day, his tales from UA giving her a glimpse of the lively life back in Japan.

Her smile turned mischievous as she leaned closer, her voice soft with excitement. "Izuku, I have something big to tell you." She took a breath, her excitement almost too much to hold back. "I'm moving back to Japan!"

His eyes went wide, his face lighting up with joy. "Really? That's... that's amazing!"

Y/N laughed at his reaction, feeling a rush of happiness. "Yep! And that means I'll be in 3-A with you!" She poked his nose playfully, and he chuckled, swatting her hand away.

"I'll introduce you to everyone," he promised, a grin spreading across his face. There was something so easy, so genuine in his excitement, and Y/N couldn't help but feel a surge of warmth as they walked together, imagining the future that awaited her back in Japan.
