It had been a week since All Might and Izuku arrived, and the excitement of Y/N's upcoming move to Japan was felt by nearly everyone—everyone except Melissa. She'd known about Y/N's departure, of course, but whenever it came up, her usual brightness dimmed, and she'd go quiet. Y/N knew she was hurting. Leaving Melissa felt wrong, but recent events in America had made it necessary to return to Japan.

The morning of her departure, Y/N packed her room in silence, her movements slow and reluctant. Melissa stood in the doorway, watching, her gaze full of sadness she was trying not to show. Y/N looked back, offering a small, apologetic smile, but Melissa only turned abruptly and ran down the hall.

Y/N stared after her, heart sinking. She sighed, glancing back down at her half-filled suitcase. I wish this didn't have to be so hard, she thought, blinking away the sting of tears.

Soon enough, the time came to leave, but Melissa was still nowhere to be found. Y/N stood at the front door, hoping Melissa would appear to say goodbye, but the doorway remained empty. Outside, her dad and Izuku were already packing her luggage into the trunk. She took one last, long look back inside, her heart aching as she whispered, "Goodbye, Meli."

As she walked to the car, tears began to blur her vision. She quickly wiped them away and climbed into the backseat, glancing back toward the house one last time, praying Melissa would appear. But she didn't. Y/N's chest tightened as the driver pulled away. Does she hate me that much for leaving? The thought sank deep, leaving a hollow ache in her heart.

When they arrived at the pier, Y/N checked her bags, only to realize in a rush of panic that she'd forgotten her passport. "Dad! Izuku!" she called. "I need to go back—I think I left my passport at the house."

Just then, there was a light tap on her shoulder. She turned, and her mouth fell open. Melissa stood there, breathless and disheveled, as if she'd run the whole way. Her eyes were red, with tears streaming down her cheeks.

"I-I heard you forgot something," Melissa said, her voice breaking as she held out the passport, wiping tears away with her other hand.

"Melissa..." Y/N stared at her, her heart swelling with both relief and sadness.

Melissa's voice trembled as she spoke, "I'm so sorry, Y/N. I know I've been distant, and I should've been here to say goodbye, but... I was scared. I don't know how to say goodbye to you."

Without a word, Y/N grabbed her and pulled her into a tight hug. Both girls clung to each other, their shoulders shaking as they cried.

"I'm not mad, Meli," Y/N whispered, her voice soft. "I know this is hard. I'm going to miss you so much." She pulled back, wiping tears from Melissa's cheeks. "It's going to be strange not having you around to tease me every day."

Melissa let out a watery laugh, nodding. "It's going to be weird not having you here, either. Who am I going to drag to the workshop now?"

Y/N chuckled, then reached into her bag and pulled out a small red box. "Here," she said, holding it out. "I made something for you."

Melissa's brows furrowed with curiosity. "What is it?" She pressed the button on the side, and a soft glow emanated from the box. Suddenly, tiny, dancing unicorns made of energy floated up, twirling and sparkling in the air. She stared at it in awe recognizing the significance behind it.

"Remember when we were little? You'd ask me to make unicorns with my quirk whenever you couldn't sleep." Y/N's voice was thick with emotion. "Now you can have them whenever you need me."

Tears streamed down Melissa's face again as she laughed softly. "Y/N, this is beautiful. Thank you." She brushed her tears away, but they kept coming.

Y/N lifted her fingers to the corners of Melissa's mouth, pushing them up into a smile. "C'mon, Meli. Smile. You know I'll hate leaving you all sad. I'll always come back to you, no matter what."

Melissa's lips quivered into a genuine smile as she held up her pinky. "Promise?"

Y/N hooked her pinky around Melissa's, sealing the promise. "Promise."

Arriving in Japan, Y/N was practically bouncing with excitement in the backseat, her gaze glued to the city streets as they passed by. Izuku chuckled at her enthusiasm. "I can't believe you're this excited to see UA!" he teased.

Once they arrived at the airport, they decided to head straight to UA, where her dorm room was already set up. All Might offered to call a cab, but Y/N immediately turned to him, her eyes pleading. "Dad, can we take my motorcycle? Just this once?"

He chuckled, nodding. "Alright, alright. Go ahead." He handed her bags to the cab driver, and Izuku moved to get in, but Y/N grabbed his hand, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

"No," he said flatly, already sensing her plan.

"Please, Izukuuuuu?" she begged, grinning.

As the cab drove off with her dad and luggage, Y/N laughed, handing Izuku a spare helmet. He sighed in reluctant defeat, putting it on, and barely had time to adjust before Y/N revved the engine and sped off. Izuku yelped, clinging to her waist as he tried to steady himself. "S-slow down, Y/N!" he shouted, his voice muffled by the wind and his sheer terror.

Before long, they arrived at UA's gates, which opened to welcome them. Y/N rode her motorcycle all the way up to the front of the dorms, where a crowd of students had gathered, drawn by the sound of her roaring engine. She turned off the bike, and Izuku, still clutching her waist, shakily opened his eyes, his face bright red.

"Izuku!" she giggled. "We're here!"

He slowly let go, stumbling off the bike, and the other students looked on in surprise, some whispering excitedly to each other.

"Hi, everyone!" Y/N said with a wave, her voice bright. "My name's Y/N Yagi, but please, just call me Y/N!"

"Whoa... isn't she All Might's daughter?" someone murmured, sparking a wave of chatter among the students.

Several classmates stepped forward to introduce themselves, and Y/N's heart swelled as she took in the friendly faces. But then, her eyes landed on a familiar, scowling figure standing a few feet away—the spiky-haired, blonde boy Izuku had mentioned.

"Hi!" Y/N said cheerfully, walking up to him. "You must be Kacchan, Izuku's friend!" She offered her hand with a bright smile.

The boy's face immediately turned red with fury. He looked so angry that it seemed like steam might start pouring from his ears. "WHAT?!" he exploded, his voice practically shaking with rage. "Deku, you dumbass! You've been telling people we're friends?! I'd never be friends with a loser like you!"

Y/N's eyes widened, and she glanced back to see Izuku trembling slightly. She stepped forward, putting herself between him and the angry blonde. "Hey, leave him alone," she said firmly, her expression hardening.

'Kacchan' scoffed, rolling his eyes before stalking off toward the dorms, muttering under his breath.

"What... was that about?" Y/N asked, turning to the others.

Kirishima chuckled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah, that's just Bakugou. He's rough around the edges, but he's a good guy... once you get to know him."

Y/N hummed in response, her gaze lingering on the blonde as he disappeared into the dorms. This was not the friend Izuku had described, but something about Bakugou's stubborn, fiery presence intrigued her.
