Author's Note #1: Just published my latest novel this week! Co-authored with my friend, Joshua Mitchell, Season of Deceit is the first book in a three-books series called The Eighth Seal. If you know someone who might be interested, please pass it along! Thanks!
Synopsis: Set in the post-apocalyptic world following the Millennial Kingdom, The Eighth Seal series features themes of spiritual warfare and good vs. evil as a lone warrior sets out on a journey to save a little girl and saves himself - and possibly the world - along the way.

While Kerry hob-nobbed with the werewolves, I took note of everyone in the room. The most interesting to observe, primarily because I'd never had the chance to before, were the Winterlights, who were the subject of a whole semester class that was mandatory during freshman year.
A class that will serve me well now, I admitted, remembering how younger me had groaned about it at the time.
Originally from Wales, King Brioc was a tall, thin man with an air about him that screamed, 'Don't try me.' Like all elves, he had metallic hair that turned to precious metal when it was plucked or fell out. His was gold and glimmered brightly every time he moved his head.
His queen, Ginshi, was from China, and her heritage was clear in the three princes.
Aerin, the oldest at twenty-five, only lacked a mate before he could take the crown. He had pure white hair that I figured turned to platinum and didn't seem to be saying much.
Probably a deep thinker, I guessed.
Prince Lyr, who was twenty-three, had the same white hair, but his was long with the top and sides pulled into a braid that ran halfway down his back. I knew he was Prince Aerin's right-hand man and, just from watching him talking with his family and Grey Myers, I could see he had a quick temper.
Almost drew his sword twice in one conversation, I snorted. What a hothead.
The youngest son, Prince Aero, had just turned nineteen, if my memory served me correctly. His ash blond hair made me curious to know if it turned white gold when it fell out or was cut. He seemed to be making a lot of jokes; at least, he sure smiled and laughed enough.
A little too much, maybe, I thought. There's a reason why the youngest princess was sent to Five Fangs as an exchange student for her senior year of high school. I wonder if he's it.
Grey seemed to be fitting in fine with them, even saying something that made King Brioc burst out laughing and Prince Aero high-five him with a grin.
"Guess they left the ladies at home," Mira said as she nudged me with her elbow and jerked her chin toward the fae king's group. "Or are there no women in their family?"
"King Brioc and Queen Ginshi have three daughters," I said, then reminded her, "one of whom was kidnapped with the weres."
"Well, where's her mother and sisters?" she demanded. "If I had a sister and she got kidnapped, you'd better believe no one could hold me back from being here."
"They might be here, but not here," I shrugged.
Before either of us could say more, King Brioc motioned for his sons and Grey to follow him, and I moved my eyes along his trajectory to see Queen Parvaneh led a small group of peri into the war room, their sleek wings frosted with crystals and each one carrying a staff and a sword.
"Which reminds me, Titus Wray was going to take a group of us to the armory," I murmured and looked around for the guy. Spotting him, I grabbed Mira's elbow and tugged her along. "Come on. You're getting covered head to toe in armor if you're coming with us."
