Hannah had explained on her dad was coming home from work when a drug driver had swerved into his lane and hit him head on and it killed him instantly. Mike hugged Hannah and kissed her head. Brandon and Brittany then knew as well that, this was a marriage that they can accept, because Hannah understood Mike and loved him for him. Just like he loved Hannah for who she was.
