All was going well and right on schedule with the wedding. They were still deciding on wedding cake flavors. And how many layers they had wanted for the cake. Mike had loved how excited Hannah would get when she planned for the wedding cake or any dessert that she would be baking. Mike had loved that he could help with this one baking. He promised her that he would help her with the baking for their wedding. Mike's parents had gotten there early so they could get to know their new daughter-in-law. They hadn't seen Mike so happy since Lydia. His late wife had died in a car accident. 2 years before, he had transferred to Eden Lake. They didn't think he'd ever get married again. But here he was, engaged to Hannah. A baker who helped him solve murders. Even though he'd ask her not to. But Hannah would never listen to him. She would always end up helping. That had caused a rift once between them because the new sheriff had caused an issue in some ways. He wanted Mike to keep him in the loop about a murder. Mike had failed to share that detail with Hannah, which caused them to break up. But they have gotten back together. And they had decided to still go on with the wedding. Mike had promised that wouldn't happen again. Now everyone was coming in for it that was not in Eden Lake. Hannah was happy that she was finally marrying the man of her dreams. Mike had told his parents that he was happy with Hannah and made it worth coming home. He is glad he has her to come home every night. If she has to work late at the bakery, he waits for her there. When his parents tasted one of her cookie kisses as she called them. Hannah told them that she makes them in peanut butter as well. Mike had brought them to the bakery to meet Hannah. Hannah hot Mike, his usual cookie, and his coffee. He told her thank you, sweetie. She told him he was welcome and asked Lisa to make the deliveries for her that day. Lisa told her that she would. When she would have customers, she would excuse herself. To go and attend to her customers. Mike loved watching her work. He tuned out just watching her work. His parents are Brittany and Brandon. Had looked at their son like what's with him? They haven't seen him like that in a long time. His mom Brittany had waved her hand in front of his face and said "Earth to Mike" he said oh sorry Mom, I was just watching Hannah, I love how her face lights up when she serves her customers and talks to them. They smiled at each other and knew right there that their son was definitely in love again and adored his wife to be. That was something they were glad to see.
