Dribble woke up bright and early the next morning. The Karaoke competition was today! He made his way to the mess hall. If he wanted to win, he had to eat first so he wasn't grumpy.

As Dribble ate his breakfast, he saw the judges sitting together. Heket, Big Man, and Gabriel all sat together.

‘Maybe they’re discussing the rules.’ Dribble thought.

“Could someone give me and Max a hand?” Dribble heard Alastor ask.

“With what?” Dribble replied.

“Moving Audio equipment. This stuff is heavy!” Max complained.

Dribble got up and went over to them. “I could help, show me the way.”

Max and Alastor showed him to the show stage, where Dribble then saw Cobalt and Holly struggling to move a large speaker.

“I got this.” Dribble cracked his knuckles, and as he got close, Cobalt and Holly moved out of the way.

Dribble then picked up the speaker. “Where do I put this thing?” He asked.

He then felt a hand on his back, nudging him forwards. When it stopped, he set the speaker down.

“Perfect!” Alastor praised him. “I never suspected you’d be this strong, Dribble.”

“Hey, when you fare around aliens, ghosts and other weird creatures around for a livin’, you learn that you gotta be strong to hold your own.” Dribble remarked.

Alastor nodded, as Dribble saw everyone else pour in behind him.

Heket set down a table and 3 chairs behind the table. She sat in the center chair, Big Man in the chair to her left, and Gabriel in the chair to her right.

“Alright, everyone.” Heket spoke up. “The contestants will be going up in a random order.”

Gabriel nodded. “The first contestant is….Alastor!”

Dribble saw the deer demon perk up and head up on stage.

But as soon as he even touched the mic, a horrible feedback loop started. Dribble immediately covered his ears and whined in pain, seeing Holly do much of the same.

Heket snarled and got up. “I’ll fix it!”
With that, she stormed off backstage.

Holly got up and left, with Gabriel following, and so did Dribble. Jimmy T and Orbulon left, too.

“Ow…” Holly complained.

“Looks like someone messed up setting up the audio system!” Orbulon remarked.

“No sh*t!” Dribble huffed. “If that was me, I'm so sorry.”

“I don't think it was you, Dribble.” Gabriel remarked, before glancing at something behind him.

“I fixed it.” Dribble heard the deep voice of Heket speak up. “Shall we continue?”

“Ay!” Big Man said, poking his head out of the room. (I think so!)

As the group headed back into the show stage, it was awkwardly quiet there. Alastor was still on stage, and a good chunk of the people had just reentered too.

“...should we continue?” Alastor asked.

Dribble nodded. “Yeah. That's what everyone else said.”

Alastor nodded as well.

Dribble tuneed out the two contestants before him, Alastor and Holly. But when he heard his name get called, he stood up.

He headed up on stage, but before he could even grab the mic, he heard a cry.

“079!” Dribble heard Holly scream.

“Oh dear me!” Alastor rushed to the stage, jumping up to the stage and rushing back stage.

Dribble rushed backstage and saw what Holly had screamed about.

It was the dead body of 079, with a heavy weight having crushed his chest, covered in glass shards.

“...Not again.” Was the only thing Dribble could say.
