Everyone else had entered the room once the dead body announcement had gone off.“Damn it!” Gabriel spat once he saw the body.
“I've got another-” Monokuma began.
“Shut up! We know you’ve got a file!” Holly said.
“Just give it to us.” Heket snarled.
“Alright, fine!” Monokuma huffed. “I sent it to y’all.”
“...Before you go, Monokuma. Can I ask you something?” Holly asked.
“Yes, you can ask the ghost of 079 questions. But, I updated the rules! I’ll read it out for you. ‘Rule #14: If you are to ask the ghost any questions, you can only ask 3 questions, and you cannot ask them who killed them.’ Got it?” Monokuma asked.
Holly nodded. “I’m gonna go get my spirit box.”
Dribble decided to check the Monokuma file.
‘Victim’s Name: 079
Location of Death: Back Stage
Time of Death: 11 am
Cause of death: Blunt Force Trauma’
Truth bullet acquired! Monokuma File #2
Monokuma File #2: It reads:
‘Victim’s Name: 079Location of Death: Back Stage
Time of Death: 11 am
Cause of death: Blunt Force Trauma’
“...hey, didn't he die during the competition? Specifically, during Alastor’s performance?” Max remarked.
“Oh, yeah!” Dribble said upon realizing that too.
Truth bullet acquired! Time of Death
Time of Death: If the time of 079’s death was not tampered with, then it indicates he died sometime during Alastor’s performance.
Everyone inside the room heard the metal door creak open, and sure enough, it was Holly, holding her spirit box.
“..before I ask…give me a list of who is in this room right now, Gabri.” Holly asked.
“...You, me, Dribble, Alastor, and Max.” Gabriel listed.
Holly then turned on the Spirit box, motioning for everyone to be quiet.
Then, she began to speak.
“How were you killed?” She asked.
“.....sledge…hammer….” 079’s voice replied.
“Why were you killed?” Holly questioned.
“...to save….killer’s family…” 079 croaked.
“And lastly…is the killer in this very room right now?” Holly asked.
“...no…” 079 spoke.
Truth Bullet Acquired! 079’s responses
079’s Responses: Holly asked 3 questions to 079. The responses are as follows:
How were you killed: Sledge Hammer
Why were you killed: To save the Killer’s family
Is the killer in the room right now (Dribble, Holly, Gabriel, Max and Alastor): No
“I bet we should start trying to find that sledge hammer he mentioned.” Max said.
“You and Gabriel should do that.” Dribble said. “Alastor, do you mind hanging behind for a bit to help me inspect 079’s body?”
“Why, I was about to ask you that!” Alastor said.
Dribble and Alastor then began to inspect 079’s body.
“Interesting. His Torso wasn't crushed by the weight, nor was he cut by the shards. Speaking of, how did the glass break?” Dribble asked, looking over at Alastor.
“I was actually discussing that with Cobalt in the messages. He said, looking over at Dribble. “He said that the sound that happened when I touched the mic was the resonant frequency of glass.”
“Ah, so like when an opera singer breaks the light bulbs?” Dribble asked.
Alastor snapped. “Exactly!”
Truth Bullet Acquired! Glass Breaking Noise, 100 pound weight, and Glass Shards
Glass Breaking Noise: The Noise that happened when Alastor touched the mic was the resonant frequency of glass, which broke it.
100 pound weight: A 100 pound weight pinned 079 to the floor, but it wasn't the thing that killed him. This weight was taken from the gym.
Glass Shards: Glass shards were found all around 079’s body.
“Speaking of the weight, where do you think it came from?” Dribble questioned.
“Probably from the gym. It's a 100 pound one, too.” Alastor said.
“How strong is 079’s chest if it can handle having 100 pounds dropped on it!?” Dribble
“Friendly reminder, his best friend is 682.” Alastor reminded Dribble.
“Ah, right. Do you think he died when he had the weight dropped on him?” Dribble asked.
Alastor shook his head. “The gaping wound in his head suggests maybe someone bashed his head in.”
“We found the sledge hammer!” Gabriel announced. “God damn, this thing is HEAVY!”
Dribble poked his head out of the backstage, and saw Gabriel struggling to drag a quite large sledge hammer.
“I got it, Gabri- HOLY SH*T, you weren't kidding!” Dribble exclaimed.
Truth Bullet: Heavy Sledge Hammer
Heavy Sledge Hammer: Gabriel found the Sledge Hammer, and by god, it is HEAVY. Not even Dribble could lift it!
“No wonder this thing killed 079 in one hit!” Dribble remarked. “Also, while you’re here, can I get some Alibis for some people?”
Gabriel nodded. “I went and asked a few people. Max said he saw Heket pass by him, and she didn't say anything. He did note she was carrying something under her robes. Cobalt said he noticed a pane of glass missing from the chemistry lab, and I was in a group chat with both Big Man and Heket. Heket told us there may be an issue with the audio systems, and if it happens, she will fix it.”
Truth Bullets Acquired! Gabriel’s Account, Cobalt’s Account, Max’s Account
Gabriel’s Account: Gabriel was in a private chat with Heket and Big Man. In this chat, Heket said there may be issues with the Audio system, but she said she will fix it.
Max’s Account: While the obnoxious sound was playing, Max saw Heket pass by him in the hall. He said she was carrying something under her cloak.
Cobalt’s account: Cobalt said that a pane of glass was missing from the chemistry lab when he went there when the noise was playing.
The P.A then turned on.
“Everyone, it's time to head to the elevator, as it's time for a Sub Trial!” Monokuma announced.
Everyone silently headed there. They got on the elevator without another word, and silently sent it to the trial room.
Bill wasn't here. He was executed for Vansessa’s death.
079 wasn't here either. He was brutally murdered.
Dribble knew it was to save the killer’s family. He could sympathize with them a little.
But killing someone was unforgivable, especially if it could lead to everyone’s deaths like in this twisted game.
And Dribble would get 079 justice.
And that was a promise.
