I'm wiping the tables when someone approaches me, "Hey, um, Nick, right?" I look up and stare at the familiar face, "Um, yeah? Why?"
"No, I just uh, recognized you as one of Rory's friends." I give him a tight lip smile, nodding my head. "Oh! You're Rory's father!" Now recognizing him.
"Yeah," he admits sheepishly, taking a step forward with a hand out. I shake it and step back.
"Good to meet you." I guess. "Yeah, you too." He just stands there, looking at me weirdly. Kinda like admiration.
"You have very pretty eyes." Ok creep. "Umm, thank you..? Yeah, uh, I think they're from my dad's since the first daughter is like the female version of her father but I'm a twin so.."
Why am I tell you this? "Really? That's um, very interesting." He smiles. I just stand there awkwardly. "Well, I should get going and let you get back to work." "Yeah.." I nod as he waves goodbye, exiting the diner.

He stands there, waiting for her to continue. "There are twins." "What?" "I gave birth to twins. There's Rory and the other baby I left her at the hospital but she's here in StarsHollow. And I know it's horrible what I did, taking one and leaving the other but I was scare and young and-"
"Wait, wait," Christopher cuts her ranting, "We have twins? And you didn't tell me? How- how could you?! And leaving her?!"
She looks around in panic, shushing him, "Lower your voice!" She whisper shouts. "Lorelai!"he exclaims, anger and sadness in his voice.
"How could you?" "I'm sorry-" "She's here?"
She nods, trying to keep the tears at bay. That's when it dawned on him who it was. He's seen Nick's necklace from afar and knew it looked familiar.
Without another word he stomps away, Lorelai calling after him.
