Promise me, that you'll remember me for who I was
Not from your eyes but who I was really deep down
That I secretly liked you from the bottom of my heart
I wanted to see the sun going down and moon rising
And stars lighting in the dark sky
Then say I'll never leave your side which is true
Promise me, that I'll look pretty in dreams if not reality
Because I do the same and that my smile lightens your weary soul
As you are a star that I look up to in the dark sky
Promise me, that maybe we'll never cross paths again in real life
But in your fantasies and I was helping you with your bruises
Instead of mine.
Promise me, if the sun can't shine its golden ray on me
At least keep a spot where I would aim for the moonlight
Only to fall from sky like a shooting star that you'd wish on
Promise me that the last time I see you
Will leave on wonders forever
That will leave you thinking
"What is her story?"
So promise me
