Minji
I greeted the guests one by one, showing off that facade of a good CEO that tries to help the world the best I can with the power I have. When in reality, I'm the reason why it keeps falling apart the way it does.
I'm the evil in a world that only wishes for good.
Just in the form of a pretty face with a horrible lifestyle.
I had sent my assistant, Wonwoo, with the ring for him to give it to Hanni, and I hope she didn't make a fuss about wearing it. I wouldn't want to go up to her room and destroy that expensive dress I got made just for her. Perfect at the measurements.
I had to go into her room in the middle of the night to get those said measurements, and of course, she refused and I had to slap her across the face just to get her to calm the fuck down and let me get those stupid measurements. I'm not even hurting her for her to be squirming like that. She ruined my mood last night. And I'm already at the peak of losing it.
I took a mental note of everyone that joined me today on such a special occasion! Pfft, it was only for a selfish need of business. I looked over to my right and saw Wonwoo walking towards me. "She has refused to wear the ring, Ms. Kim I have also come to inform you that your men have captured one of the Vicente twins." He said and I gave him a firm nod as I felt a vein pop. I grabbed the small box that contained the ring from his hand and made my way straight to her room.
I couldn't even be happy that I'm going to get to kill another idiot that dared to mess with me. Damn it, Hanni.
This is exactly what I didn't want Hanni to do, I guess I have to go up there and give her a lesson. I made it past the crowd with a fake smile all the way until I reached the stairs that led me straight to Hanni's room. My smile dropped as anger flashed in my eyes.
She was going to meet who the devil was if she didn't comply to my orders.
I stormed into her room and she let out a gasp as she quickly stood up from the beautiful vanity that was set in her room by me. "I heard that you don't want to put the ring on when it was a clear order for you to follow without problem." I said with a cold tone as I slammed the door shut and locked it.
She looked at me with fear as I took a couple of steps forward. "I suggest for you to let me put this ring on or I'll force it on you. Don't make me hurt you, Hanni. I'm really trying not to." I said with clear threat and Hanni took several steps away from me.
The fear in her eyes was becoming my favorite view. I want her to be scared of me, I need her to fear me. I'm a monster under this skin.
I took a couple of seconds for my eyes to drink in the way the beautiful white dress looked on her. It was long to her ankles, strapless, a slit that reached right above her knee, jewelry that really brought out the beauty that was her, and her dark hair that cascaded over her shoulders. And let's not add that beautiful shade of red on her lips.
It would truly be a waste if she angers me.
I quickly went to her and grabbed her, pulling her towards me. "I'm asking you nicely, Hanni. Don't make me show you that awful side of me, I've been patient with you!" I said as I threw her on the bed. I took out the ring and signaled her to sit up, in which she did. "I'm glad we're finally on the same page." I said as I forcefully grabbed her hand and started to slide the ring on.
I've never thought of ever marrying someone again, but I need to marry Hanni. She has the looks and the body, and she's completely able to give me children to grow my empire. And yes, that's my selfish reason of why I'm submitting Hanni into this.
To be the mother of my heirs.
I looked up into her eyes. "When you go downstairs, make sure you don't embarrass me. I'll have eyes on you if you try to escape or try to seek help. Remember that. And keep this stupid ring on." I said, grabbing her face forcefully and bringing her closer to me.
Smashing my lips against hers, kissing her roughly. Once I pulled away her lipstick was all smeared and probably all over my face. I quickly wiped it with my handkerchief and threw it at her face. She looked so beautifully ruined but I can't let others see my artwork. "You're mine, you became mine the moment you agreed to be my wife. Do also keep that in mind." I said as I stepped away.
"Fix yourself up." I said before opening and slamming the door shut behind me. I headed down the stairs angrily. Hanni is going to be the reason why I pull my hair out, or even consider using my own gun to shoot myself in the skull.
I made it down to the crowd once more and I was greeted by business partners and other powerful people that the world have no clue that they should fear. My eyes kept looking at the top of the main stairs, waiting for Hanni to arrive. She best not leave me standing down here like an idiot.
"The Minji Kim is getting married, who would've thought?" I had to take a deep breath and turn around to meet the eyes of Mingyu, the cause of my stress. "Well, we all have surprises to give." I said and he gave me a smirk. "Marriage has never been your thing Kim, what unlucky woman she must be for being at your grasp." He taunted and I took a deep breath. Ignoring the comment.
"After the fuck up your father was, I'd expect for you to be the same." He said grabbing a champagne as one of the waiters walked past him. "We're not all exact replicas of our fathers." I said and he shrugged. "You got that right." He said as he took a sip of the champagne.
I wanted to grab him and stick my gun up his ass and shoot repeatedly. No one can piss me off the way this man does. If you wonder who he is, he's my step-brother. A very annoying step-brother. We're obviously not close, if anything we want to rip each other's heads off.
After my father chose him over his own biological daughter, me. And to make it up to me, he left me the great responsibility of carrying his legacy.
A legacy I never asked to carry.
I heard gasps and I turned to look at the cause of such reaction. My own jaw went slack at seeing the woman descending from the stairs. She fixed herself up, that red tint being the source of my attention once more.
She was extravagant. A ballroom's extravaganza.
Maybe, she was truly just beautiful. Too beautiful that I'd never admit it out loud. Minji Kim never sets her eyes on anyone. And never will because no love has ever existed in her cruel and cold heart.
I furrowed my eyebrows as I saw Mingyu eye Hanni up and down. Everyone was looking at Hanni like a forbidden prize. My eyes couldn't seem to look away from her either as I walked to meet her at the bottom step.
She threw me a glare and I wrapped my arm around her waist harshly as my eyes threw her a threat. "Compose yourself. Tone it down with the glare, my dear wife to be. I don't want anyone thinking you hate me and much less do I want to hurt you." I said through gritted teeth as I kissed her temple and pulled her closer to me.
She tried to pull away and I only held her tighter than before. My grip was harsh on her hip and it caused her to wince as she jumped slightly. "Be a good little kitten and follow my lead. Or I'll make the best horror movie out of you." I said as I guided her through the crowd. She smiled at the people that complimented her and her beauty, and congratulated her on marrying me. It's all a facade.
And I'll let Hanni have this moment. For now.
