Suisei Pov:

It was a beautiful spring morning, and the birds chirped joyfully outside Suisei's window as she packed her bag. Today, she was finally meeting the Comets team, and a blend of excitement and nervousness buzzed inside her. She laced up her red sneakers and swung her backpack over one shoulder with a quick, determined motion.

In the quiet kitchen of her hotel room, she made herself a simple breakfast—toast and a strong cup of coffee. After a few thoughtful sips, she took a deep breath and stepped out, her heart pounding a little faster with each step.

Navigating the dizzying descent down the hotel's winding staircase, Suisei pulled on her cap, tucking her hair beneath it. It wasn't just a style choice; she hoped it would help her avoid any fanboy recognition along the way.

Suisei stepped out onto the bustling street, the energy of the city buzzing around her. The early morning sun cast a warm glow, reflecting off the nearby buildings and filling the air with a faint warmth that hinted at the promise of a perfect spring day. She took a moment to orient herself, her gaze scanning the streets for the way to the stadium where the Comets team would be meeting.

She took a deep breath, feeling a surge of excitement run through her. This was the first time she'd be face-to-face with the Comets, a team she'd admired from afar and studied in countless replays and analyses. Thoughts swirled in her mind about what they'd be like and if they'd accept her as a part of their group.

Adjusting her backpack and pulling her cap down a little lower, Suisei set off with determination. She moved with purpose, weaving through the morning crowd. As she walked, she silently rehearsed her introduction, reminding herself that she belonged here just as much as anyone else. Today was the start of something new, and she was ready to make her mark.

First, she just had to survive school, along with a new schedule and more fanboys.

Suisei sighed, steeling herself as she neared the school's entrance. The building loomed ahead, bustling with students who were already flowing in for the day. Balancing school with her budding role on the Comets team had seemed exciting in theory, but the reality of it meant she had to juggle a packed schedule—and a rising tide of attention from classmates who knew her.

The familiar sight of fanboys lingering near the front entrance made her pause. They didn't approach, but she could feel their curious glances darting her way. Pulling her cap down a little more, she adjusted her backpack and tried to focus on the day ahead. Classes, practice, and then the big meeting with the Comets. Just survive school first, she told herself.

Navigating her way through the hallways, Suisei found herself in a daze as she listened to teachers and took notes, her mind straying more than once to the game strategies and potential drills she might face later. A grin crept onto her face when she thought about her future team, picturing herself working alongside them. It was only when her math teacher called her name that she jolted back to the present, her cheeks flushing slightly as a few amused eyes flicked her way.

"Focus," she muttered to herself with a small smile, mentally gearing up for what was only the beginning of a very long day.

Hikaru Pov:

He'd received the news the day before. A new person was joining the Comets. Who exactly? He had no idea. Currently, he was at lunch. Hikaru leaned back, his fingers tapping the table absently as he stared off, lost in thought. The announcement of a new team member had thrown him off a bit—newcomers always brought unpredictability.

As he was mulling it over, his brother Hyuga, ever the optimist, leaned in, eyes bright with excitement. "Did you hear? There's some big-name player in town! I bet they're gonna join the Comets!"

Hikaru snorted, crossing his arms. "Sure, Hyuga. And maybe they'll hand over their world title while they're at it," he teased, rolling his eyes. But despite his sarcasm, he couldn't shake the curiosity. Who was this new person, and what could they bring to the team?

Just as Hyuga was about to launch into another wild theory about the mystery player's identity, Reina strolled over, casually dropping her bag onto the table before sitting beside Hikaru. Her brown-orange twin ponytails rested on her shoulders and framed her blue-eyed face. She had that look in her eye—the one that meant she knew something interesting.

"So, I hear there's a new teammate joining the Comets," she said, raising an eyebrow as she glanced between Hikaru and Hyuga. "I swear, everyone's talking about it. Some people think it's a big-name blader keeping a low profile."

Hyuga's eyes practically sparkled. "See, Hikaru? Even Reina thinks it's someone big! Imagine if they're, like, a world-class blader coming to train with us!"

Hikaru shook his head, though a hint of intrigue flickered across his face. "We're all getting way ahead of ourselves," he replied, trying to sound indifferent. "Whoever it is, they'll have to prove they're worth the hype."

Reina smirked, nudging him playfully. "Admit it, you're at least a little curious. I know you, Hikaru—you're already thinking of ways to size them up, aren't you?"

Hikaru shrugged, but he couldn't deny it. "I guess we'll see if they can keep up."

Reina exchanged a glance with Hyuga, and the two shared a knowing smile. Hikaru might act all calm and composed, but they both knew he was just as curious as they were. They all continued to chat about the mysterious new teammate as they finished their lunch, each of them secretly wondering what kind of blader would walk into their lives soon.

The bell rang, signaling the end of lunch, and they rose from the table, heading to their next class. As they walked down the hallway, Reina leaned over to Hikaru. "You know, it wouldn't hurt to at least try to be friendly when they get here," she teased. "Not everyone is as... serious as you are."

Hikaru sighed, his expression softening slightly. "I'm not against being friendly," he replied, glancing at her. "I just don't want them thinking they can walk in and slack off. The Comets need dedication, not hype."

Hyuga laughed, clapping Hikaru on the back. "Yeah, yeah, we get it! Mr. Serious over here is gonna give them the third degree. But that's what makes you such a good captain," he added with a grin.

Reina chuckled, giving Hikaru a supportive nudge. "Just remember, sometimes people bring more than just skill. They might surprise you."

Hikaru's expression softened at her words, but he gave only a faint nod in response. They parted ways for class, but even as he tried to focus, his mind drifted back to the mysterious new teammate. He didn't care much for surprises, but with the Comets' growing reputation, he knew that whoever was joining would need to bring more than just skill to keep up. And, deep down, he wondered what kind of spirit this new player would add to their team.
